Shop Till Drop At Bugis Junction, Singapore

IT WAS A SATURDAY MORNING when we made a day trip to the Lion City via Tuas.  We had our breakfast in Johor, prices are definitely cheaper than eating in Singapore, right?  LOL... Wasting no time, we filled up our tummies with the noodles, sat back and relaxed in the car.  We were expecting some kind of jam at the causeway... but to our delight, there was no need to wait at all, no queue, we sailed smoothly across the customs in Malaysia and Singapore without time wasted.  :)

The bridge connecting Malaysia to Singapore....
Smooth roads ahead....
Someone was clearly very excited cos she had not been to Singapore for many years now...
Excited smiles from the passengers as we crossed the border...
Our first destination in Singapore.... BUGIS Junction...
Ladies' Haven for Shopping!
Get ready, ladies!
But first.... sightseeing and photo taking place....
Getting warm up over here.....
After that, no more pictures....
It was Shopping all the way at Bugis Stalls opposite the malls....
Our shop till drop lasted a couple of hours...
And then our unpaid driver took us to another destination....
That place was strictly NO Shopping for us!
Just cannot afford to.... LOL....

  4. I LOVE to shop till I drop! And I have actually dropped at times! So how far are you from Singapore? I would love to go. This building is really amazing, I have not seen one like it. Did you buy anything? I see a price sign that looks like American money! Really FUN day!

My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! Meat from the crocodile tail?  Is it just a name or what... I really don't know... Took a few bites of it... and I am full!! Well, these were the food we

Home Cooked Dishes

NOT MUCH HAPPENING... and lazy too.... My neighbour gave me half pumpkin and I have been keeping it for a couple of days before I finally decide what to do with it.  I cook it into small chunks and sauteed it with minced meat, okra and basil leaves.  Yes, it would be great to put in some small cilipadi but unfortunately, I did not find any in my fridge.  Steamed a bowl of rice and that was meal for dinner.... One dish meal....  Pumpkin reminds me of sweet potatoes...sweet after cooking... Another dinner meal consist of Sambal Fish, black pepper met and a hard boiled egg  I only boiled the egg, the other two dishes were "sponsored" by my neighbour... LOL...
