A Discounted Meal At Marco Polo Kitchen, Johor

ANDY IS A MEMBER OF THE MARCO POLO KITCHEN.. Member means initially he paid RM300 and get RM500 worth of vouchers to eat and on top of that, he will get a 50% discount on the meals when the vouchers run out.   Yes, his voucher of RM500 has long gone and last evening we had a nice dinner on the discounted rate.   It was my first time coming to Marco Polo Kitchen, the crowd was already there when we arrived around 7pm... Food must be good here or is it the member's price?  LOL....
Nice ambiance, the concept is something like Spice Kitchen in Johor...
Heard that both restaurants are from the same owners...

As for the food, I let Andy take over... he knows what is nice for us...
Tom Yam seafood spaghetti....
Quite a big portion unlike the photo here...
Grilled Chicken Drumstick with mushroom sauce and baked potatoes...
He also recommended the Club Sandwich...
Comes with a spade of fried potatoes....
How to eat this.... which part to start......
There it goes.... have to eat it slice by slice as for me...
A very hefty meal indeed....
As for the bill, it came to RM57 for the three main meals....
I guess it is worth being a member?

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

MISSING IN BLOGGING AGAIN.... this has become a norm now ever since I arrived to this continental... LOL... Now I understand the word of Full Commitment when it comes to taking care of baby... seriously, I have to be fully commited and occupied by this little cheeky fella who is now going to be his 10th month soon.  Wow... time flies, when I first came, he was just slightly over four months... that being said, it is soon time fo rme to pack my bags and leave.  LOL... My 6 months being a babysitter is soon over... and did I say I can hardly wait?  NO, NO... I love my job here and I am going to miss my baby tremendously!  I only don't miss his cries!  LOL...  OK, by the time I write this post, Chinese New Year is over, it is now the 4th day of CNY.  Two days before the Lunar New Year, my daughter-in-law and I cooperated fully and baked a few types of cookies.  Looking back at these pictures, I dare say that we did a good job... not on the cookies but at least we had a great time bond
