My Almond Flakes Cookies Failed To IMPRESS

SINCE MY OVEN WAS OUT FROM THE STORE ROOM, I take the opportunity to try baking something new... Almond Flakes Cookies!  Initially both of us were pretty excited, everything needed was bought and laid on the table.
I was told to get this brand... Cost around RM29 if not mistaken...
Plus all these packets it came to a whooping RM60...
O
K!
Let's Get Started!!
Mistake, mistake... Uneven powder and too stingy with the almonds and others...
FAILED ON FIRST TRIAL....
20/100 marks = E
Red marks... Cham!!
Second Try.... No, not good enough too...
Still insufficient almonds...
I called SOS... then I was told I must be generous with the top fillings..
Otherwise will Fail, Fail and FAIL...
Ok, OK.... more Almonds, Pumpkin Seeds and Sesame Please....
I think there is something wrong here...
Uneven heat?
The edges are burnt at the edges... very "sayang"....
Imperfect..... How to sell?
Have to go into own family's stomach, no choice....
LOL....
The END RESULT...
For RM60, I think I can get at least 2 containers of
PERFECT ALMOND FLAKES COOKIES outside....
But then... Never Try, Never Know, right?
Don't think I want to do this again....
Too sweet for my liking...
*Ting*
I have something else in mind!!

  3. Nice try, Claire! I'm not good at baking too, so it's alright. Dropping by to wish you the best of 2017! xoxo

  4. Claire, I read somewhere that you have to use aluminium foil to line it first. Make sure the foil is a bit larger so you can actually cover the edges so it wont get burnt.

  5. Well, at least you can nibble on the bits from the jar. This brand is not one to buy!

  6. Hahahah! Sometimes it's so much less hassle buying rather than baking. That's my motto where CNY cookies are concerned. 😜
