Dim Sum Area And Desserts Corner, Ipoh

NO MATTER HOW HEAVY TRAFFIC IS, it did not deter us from going and joining in the crowd at the Dim Sum area aka Leong Sin Nam Street during the Chinese New Year period.  Along the same row and around the vicinity, there are around five to six shops selling Dim Sum and Ipoh is actually quite famous for the varieties.  The one we aimed for that morning was Yoke Fook Moon restaurant.  The only setback is the parking, it is like striking a lottery if one can get a parking nearby.

We took a chance on that morning, it was almost 10am and my son said maybe there might be a parking as we turned into the road leading to the Dim Sum street.  Well, to our amazement, his wishes came true, one car was reversing out!  Wahhhh... indeed we struck lottery... parking lottery, that is!  LOL.... First hurdle overcome... and the second one is finding a table for 7 of us is another problem.  We have to do what we don't like others to do to us... we stood behind those patrons who were about to finish... LOL.... NO choice, that is the only way to make them "uncomfortable" and moved on without lingering longer than usual.  Festive seasons is always like that.... in IPOH!
The youngsters quickly filled up the table with lots of "goodies"
and replenishing them every now and then...
Eating time is great... paying the bill is another different matter..
It came to a whooping RM240...
Never happened before in IPOH till this time round.. LOL...
Fantastic Crowd at that moment of time....
After our brunch fix, we went to town to buy some biscuits....
Stopped by a mini corner shop for some desserts...
Cendol at its best!
Creamy and santanic...
One for the album while waiting to be served....

  1. Dim sum breakfast is getting to be a very expensive breakfast even in Ipoh. I didn't ask how much was our dim sum breakfast on the 1st day of CNY because the bill was settled by the young lady.

  5. Wow! That was a lot of dim sum!

Haha. In certain places, we are required to stand behind the persons where they almost finish so we could take their table. But most places are more civilised. We wait in queue and once a table is empty, we rush in and take it.

    1. I prefer to queue up and given a table when it is due.. not to stand behind the patrons...
