Steps To Making Chicken Floss Using Breadmaker

SHE IS A BREAD LOVER....  I am not... Anyway, I got her an economical Breadmaker from Lazada a month ago.  Let her be occupied and play with this new "Toy" while I was away in Johor for the past month.  And now she is making better breads than I did for I failed not once but twice in bread making.  I blamed it on the flour, she used wholemeal wheat grains while I use High Protein Bread Flour... I wonder what went wrong, mine turned out with the yeast smell which I don't like.  Ok, maybe it was the yeast that is the culprit.... I better avoid using that the next time and use the one my girl uses.....

Then yesterday I tried something different with the Breadmaker.  It was an impromptu act, it happened that I "double-boiled" a "free range" chicken, to get the essence out of it for my girl to drink.  My girl drank the chicken essence while the dry chicken meat was left alone.  Then an idea came to my mind.. instead of giving the meat to Labby, why not I try doing the chicken floss in the breadmaker?  Poor Labby, this round, you cannot get to eat the meat.... sorry ya!

I went and did some research and found this recipe in this blog here.  Very easy... if I can do it, anyone else also can... Sure BOLEH!!

Recipe adapted from Miss B:
300gm chicken, boiled and shredded, drained well of liquid
2.5 tbsp fish sauce
5 tbsp fine sugar
1.5 tbsp dark soya sauce (runny type, not the thick sticky type)
2.25 tbsp water

As for my recipe, I "tweeked" a bit to adjust to the amount of chicken meat I used.
200-300gm of shredded chicken meat
2 tbsp fish sauce
1/2 tbsp chinese wine (next time I should use more of the wine for fragrance)
4 tbsp fine brown sugar
1/2 tbsp dark soya sauce (I prefer lighter shade)
3 tbsp water

This is our new toy... bread for her, floss for me...
#10 for the chicken floss....
This is the amount of meat with all the seasoning inside...
Can try tasting a bit to suit own taste buds...
Into the breadmaker it goes... and set it to #10
And the time shown is 1hr 10 minutes for this feature...
The aroma of the floss filled the whole house.....
Every now and then, I went to peep.... and finally... after an hour 10 minutes,
the breadmaker stopped....
and Hey... Looks Good wor....   Can la!!
They turned out finer than I thought....
I am so Pleased that the Chicken Floss turns out so well....
Now my girl can have her bread with chicken floss...
And as for me, I can have porridge with this too!!

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Exploring The Sea Cruise Royal Caribbean

CRUISING ALONG.... Once we deposited our bags in our cabins, we had our buffet meal at the Hammerjack restaurant and exactly at 4pm, we heard a loud Horn signal...  ITS TIME TO SAIL ALONG THE PACIFIC OCEAN! And while the ship started to sail, we humans started to walk and explore.... to familarize ourselves inside the ship....  Elevators on each side of the ship....  Making my mark....  On another side....  We walked along to check out our food outlets... This Promenade Cafe  had became our regular joint .... We like to sit there enjoying our hot drinks and desserts... Free flow of food day and night.... Passing through the bars to the casino... The casino will open only when the ship is in international waters...  At one of the jackpot machines... I wonder if they are real?? But they are only $1 bundles... Then we went up to the highest floor.... The swimming deck.... Taken against the sun.... Nice sunset in the evening.... The Happy Trio!

The Good, The Bad But Not Ugly

MISSING AND NOW BACK IN ACTION...  I checked back my last post and it was 8 March last month and today is 19 April, less than two months only.  So what has been happening in my life?  Lots and lots... good news, bad news, sad news... all concerning health and I guess this is our life cycle as we live day by day.   My health is also not that "fantastic" during the past few months, but mine is a small rock compared to giant boulder which my best buddy is undergoing... I guess some of you know what is happening to her from her blog posts.  I was totally devastated when this happened to her, my tears couldn't help falling and my heart goes out to her.  I am ashamed to say that instead of me giving the comfort that she needs, I am the one that have been receiving her strength in times like this.  She might be crushed physically but she is not broken in her spiritual mind and soul.  One word... "Unbreakable!"  She is a shining example..... "What can death do to m
