Travel Made Easy With Online Bookings

All my bags are packed, I’m ready to go, I’m standing here outside the door…. But I didn’t have to wake anyone up to say goodbye….. *A very nice song by our late John Denver*  I always like to use his lyrics whenever I go for a long travel….  LOL…

Alright, jokes aside, yes, my travel mode is on again.  This time I will be flying thousand of miles away to the other side of the world, all in all, the flight journey itself is 17 hours and that is supposed to be the quickest.  Since my ticket is “economy class”,  the flight is a bit “torturing” as usual.  For my neck I brought this brown companion along, it really helps to straighten my neck upright especially when I am asleep.  I had my days of stiffened neck those days and it really hurt.  Another benefit having this pillow with me is the warmth… It curls round the neck and I don’t feel chilly as before.   To pass the time, watching three to four movies helps, provided I cannot sleep.  On the other hand, it would be a blessing if there is a vacant seat beside me.  The long flight is somehow very comfortable then…..

Actually,  I love to travel by car in my own country, Malaysia…. For the past six months I have been going up and down like a “crazy chicken”, from the north to the south and back forth to the center of Malaysia.  I love going up north, my favourite state of all times is none other than Penang!  Yes, the Pearl of the Orient, it is on my top list travel each year.  And most times I book my accommodation through online websites and one of them I normally use is Traveloka…. I am very “kiasu” actually, I do thorough checking online to look for the cheapest rates, I compared few websites before I decide which to choose.

My most recent stay in Penang was on the 31 December, 2016.  My girl and I celebrated the year 2007 at Straits Quay, Penang.  That was our first time spending the last day of the year elsewhere instead of our own home.  Hotels were fully booked prior to the event.  But I managed to But I managed to get a very affordable rates from Traveloka Malaysia and we spent two nights at one of the hotels along Jalan Anson.  It was a very memorable trip….  One month before that, in November, I booked three nights in Penang, I drove up together with my two sisters and we stayed in two different hotels.  The main purpose is to try out the hotels which were giving a good offer at that moment of time.  See, I told you, I am very “meticulous” when it comes to bookings of rooms.  I checked the rates with a few online websites and I get good deals most of the time.  LOL…

When I come back from my trip in a few months time, I hope to go “exploring” Penang again, no doubt about that.  This time I thought of staying in my all time favourite hotel, Alora Hotel, formerly known as B-suite Hotel, Penang.  In fact I have been staying in this hotel for the past six years or so, when my son was in college near Bukit Jambul.  We love staying at this hotel because of its spacious room… it is indeed a big suite and my family of four agree with me anytime!  Recently, this hotel has been given a good facelift and the rooms are more comfortable, I believe.  I really love the space, so far I have never been to any hotel room as big as Alora Hotel.   Well, Alora, you will see us again very soon…. In a few months time, my girl might be working in Bayan Lepas again after eight months of internship at a factory there.  She loves the working environment over there, getting on pretty well with the staff and so on.... and when she does, that would be the perfect time to book our stay at Alora Hotel Penang again so that she can easily access to her working place without any hassle with the traffic.

Yes, time really passes very fast…. In a few months time, she will be graduating and the good news is, my burden will be lighter… it is time to receive some paybacks from her…. LOL…. Just kidding, she might read this and say.. “OH MUM, you are really terror!”  LOL….. On the serious note, I wish her all the Best in her future undertakings and I hope that we can have more travels together again in the future!
Big and spacious room, my kids and I love to stay here at Alora!

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Exploring The Sea Cruise Royal Caribbean

CRUISING ALONG.... Once we deposited our bags in our cabins, we had our buffet meal at the Hammerjack restaurant and exactly at 4pm, we heard a loud Horn signal...  ITS TIME TO SAIL ALONG THE PACIFIC OCEAN! And while the ship started to sail, we humans started to walk and explore.... to familarize ourselves inside the ship....  Elevators on each side of the ship....  Making my mark....  On another side....  We walked along to check out our food outlets... This Promenade Cafe  had became our regular joint .... We like to sit there enjoying our hot drinks and desserts... Free flow of food day and night.... Passing through the bars to the casino... The casino will open only when the ship is in international waters...  At one of the jackpot machines... I wonder if they are real?? But they are only $1 bundles... Then we went up to the highest floor.... The swimming deck.... Taken against the sun.... Nice sunset in the evening.... The Happy Trio!

The Good, The Bad But Not Ugly

MISSING AND NOW BACK IN ACTION...  I checked back my last post and it was 8 March last month and today is 19 April, less than two months only.  So what has been happening in my life?  Lots and lots... good news, bad news, sad news... all concerning health and I guess this is our life cycle as we live day by day.   My health is also not that "fantastic" during the past few months, but mine is a small rock compared to giant boulder which my best buddy is undergoing... I guess some of you know what is happening to her from her blog posts.  I was totally devastated when this happened to her, my tears couldn't help falling and my heart goes out to her.  I am ashamed to say that instead of me giving the comfort that she needs, I am the one that have been receiving her strength in times like this.  She might be crushed physically but she is not broken in her spiritual mind and soul.  One word... "Unbreakable!"  She is a shining example..... "What can death do to m
