Entertaining Evening At Fremont Street, Las Vegas

ONE MUST NOT MISS GOING TO THE FREMONT STREET IN LAS VEGAS.... And we certainly do not want to miss that!  This is my third time going to Las vegas Fremont Street and each time the atmosphere is different from the other.  We parked our car for nearly three hours and was charged $9 when we checked out.  It was nearly 7pm when we reached the most entertaining street in LV... Time for us to have dinner and we simply slipped into one of the casinos to get our tummies filled.

After that, it was all about walking, dancing, shopping along Fremont Street.... Actually not much shopping to do, most of the shops are selling souvenirs as low as 99 cents.  T-shirts are still selling for 2.50 each, 4 for $9.99... yes, we bought a few due to poor resistance on our part..Lol... As for entertainment, there was a live concert of "Elvis Presley" and we were being entertained with his songs, singing along and dancing to the beat of the music...

Starting point... Our car is parked just nearby...

Crowded though it was a weekday...
We had dinner nearby...
We had dinner around this area...

We opted for ala carte instead of buffet...

We had something like these... $6.90 around that...

Then it was walking along the street again...

Elvis music around the corner...

Elvis in action....

Soon it is time for us to leave....

Oh yes, weighing ourselves for a free steak..
If more than 350 pounds, the meal, will be free...
Guess I have a long way to gooooo..... Lol...

My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! Meat from the crocodile tail?  Is it just a name or what... I really don't know... Took a few bites of it... and I am full!! Well, these were the food we

Home Cooked Dishes

NOT MUCH HAPPENING... and lazy too.... My neighbour gave me half pumpkin and I have been keeping it for a couple of days before I finally decide what to do with it.  I cook it into small chunks and sauteed it with minced meat, okra and basil leaves.  Yes, it would be great to put in some small cilipadi but unfortunately, I did not find any in my fridge.  Steamed a bowl of rice and that was meal for dinner.... One dish meal....  Pumpkin reminds me of sweet potatoes...sweet after cooking... Another dinner meal consist of Sambal Fish, black pepper met and a hard boiled egg  I only boiled the egg, the other two dishes were "sponsored" by my neighbour... LOL...
