Cherry Season Is Here At Galt

BEEN WAITING FOR THE CHERRIES SEASON.... And finally it arrives!   Ever since we came two months ago, we have been waiting patiently for a friend to call us saying "It's time!!"  Yes, cherries season is on and they are selling at $3 per pound in the markets.  So far we have bought two times and they were finished in no time.  Not a single one of us dislike eating them... LOL...

So when this friend called up to say that the cherries are ready to be plucked, we did not hesitate a day longer.  This morning after our breakfast, we drove a half hour drive to this couple's house cum orchard to start our "cherry picking" and of course, eating them as we did our job!  Just cannot resist...so addictive.  I think I ate one whole pound of cherries today... one by one, I popped into my mouth until I was really-really full.  Greedy Me!
And here we are..... all excited....
Before I start... let me do some "warm-up!"  LOL...
Ok, let's open ceremony here.....
Ready... get set....GO!
Beautiful red cherries....
And soon.... our Harvest done!
When can I feel these again???
Time to relax and play with my new furry friend...
Having a nice breezy rest after a hard day's work...
LOL...
And my usual poses as we walked around the orchard...
We filled up two big bags from just one and a half trees...
Yes, we just could not finish plucking even from two trees..
Too many and there are a dozen of them there!
Our Treasure... it is nearly 10kgs!

Thanks to our friends' kindness and generosity...
oh yeah, plus the wonderful tea snacks too!

  1. Some health benefits, I hear. Very expensive here - thankfully, I'm not a fan.

  3. I love to eat cherries! You are so blessed with friends who are so kind and generous. Pluck and eat? No need to wash right? because directly off the tree is ok is it? I have seen documentaries where they pluck apples directly off the trees and eat them immediately without washing.

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Exploring The Sea Cruise Royal Caribbean

CRUISING ALONG.... Once we deposited our bags in our cabins, we had our buffet meal at the Hammerjack restaurant and exactly at 4pm, we heard a loud Horn signal...  ITS TIME TO SAIL ALONG THE PACIFIC OCEAN! And while the ship started to sail, we humans started to walk and explore.... to familarize ourselves inside the ship....  Elevators on each side of the ship....  Making my mark....  On another side....  We walked along to check out our food outlets... This Promenade Cafe  had became our regular joint .... We like to sit there enjoying our hot drinks and desserts... Free flow of food day and night.... Passing through the bars to the casino... The casino will open only when the ship is in international waters...  At one of the jackpot machines... I wonder if they are real?? But they are only $1 bundles... Then we went up to the highest floor.... The swimming deck.... Taken against the sun.... Nice sunset in the evening.... The Happy Trio!

The Good, The Bad But Not Ugly

MISSING AND NOW BACK IN ACTION...  I checked back my last post and it was 8 March last month and today is 19 April, less than two months only.  So what has been happening in my life?  Lots and lots... good news, bad news, sad news... all concerning health and I guess this is our life cycle as we live day by day.   My health is also not that "fantastic" during the past few months, but mine is a small rock compared to giant boulder which my best buddy is undergoing... I guess some of you know what is happening to her from her blog posts.  I was totally devastated when this happened to her, my tears couldn't help falling and my heart goes out to her.  I am ashamed to say that instead of me giving the comfort that she needs, I am the one that have been receiving her strength in times like this.  She might be crushed physically but she is not broken in her spiritual mind and soul.  One word... "Unbreakable!"  She is a shining example..... "What can death do to m
