From Las Vegas To Tehachapi

OUR ONE WEEK HOLIDAY IN LAS VEGAS CAME TO END...
Two days of going to the mountains, three days of shopping and another day along the Las Vegas Strips, those were our itinerary... I thought one week in LV, we would have lots of time to go sight seeing along the Strips but it did not seem to be so.  Hope we will be able to do so the next round... perhaps in a couple of years again?  Dream on again, RC! LOL...

Since the drive back to Sacramento took around 8 hours, naturally we stopped halfway for a heavy meal and this time we had our meal in Tehachapi near Bakersfield and Mojave.  One nice Bakery caught our eyes and in no time, we were queuing up to order our food... Bread is not exactly my favourite but no choice, I have to eat a big chunk of it before we proceeded our journey back to Sacramento...
Using all my strength and might.... LOL...
Checking in and checking out sure made a lot of difference!
The Bakery that caught our eyes...
Kohnen's Country Bakery...
A delightful contemporary German Bakert designed with Old World Charm...
Lots of bread and pastry to choose from....
But I really didn't know what to order... Anything will do as long as it is shared...
When it comes to bread, I take the minimum.. LOL...
Nice deco inside...
Yes, we are sisters and we cannot do anything about it.. LOL...
Leaving our prints here....
Our food..The Giant Bread...
Even though it was cut into quarters, I could not even finish one...
This whole portion is enough to feed four of us!
If we knew earlier, we wouldn't have ordered another two sets of Panini with turkey meat...
And this dessert....
And this too.... I love this Lemon pie anytime!
Tehachapi... according to one local here...
She told met that it is an Indian word that says... Land of Plenty....
Yes, I believe her...
