Tea Time And Desserts In Sacramento

DIAMONDS ARE GIRLS' BEST FRIENDS?  Nay for me... my best food buddy is still DESSERTS!  Alright, I admit it... I love diamonds too, (who doesn't?) but I just got to be realistic and not materialistic...LOL.. I CANNOT afford to buy diamonds, so I spend my money on desserts, they have something in common... both starts with a "D" and both are "rich" their own different ways. Diamonds make you look rich, Desserts make me look rich too... at least SIDEWAYS!  LOL....

Indeed I am growing sideways, my face is rounder and my pants are "tighter" than before.  Why?  Because I went to Leatherby's, the best ice cream in town ... for the 7th time!  I told my sisters, why not we order the senior scoops for this round?  Senior Banana Split consists of 3 scoops of ice cream whereas the normal Banana Split consists of six scoops with lots of fudge, cream and fruits.  We can share the senior ice cream among the three of us... I said.  They agreed and when the waiter came, we asked for senior ice cream and he replied, "Anyone of you turn 65 yet?"  Oh dear...... forget it!
And thus.. the normal Banana Split with 6 scoops...$12...
Our favourite Crab Sandwich... $14
That is for our tea-time....
I guess I have to wait for a couple more years to get my senior order....
On another day, we went to the Cheesecake Factory...
It was my first time there....
Bread was on the house as usual...
They came with 4 pieces of butter.....
We wanted something light to share....
Chicken Tacos with salsa and avocado sauce.. $4.95
A Club Sandwich... *not sure of price*
Yes, to be shared too....
That was not all....
We could not resist their display of cakes at the counter...
Had a hard time choosing what I wanted...
Ended up with this Red Velvet White Chocolate Cheesecake... $7.95
And that was what I meant...
Give me desserts and I am very happy...
They are my best friend indeed!

  2. Claire, no one would believe you are a senior; you look like a girl! And no one would believe you eat so many desserts, you remain so slim! The food at Leatherby's looks so good! We have a Cheesecake Factory nearby.

  4. Dessert is my thing too! Ah all of you are still young, not qualified for senior ice cream yet, hah! If I live there, I will eat desserts until I have to exercise nonstop or else be unable to move due to my sheer bulk!

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Exploring The Sea Cruise Royal Caribbean

CRUISING ALONG.... Once we deposited our bags in our cabins, we had our buffet meal at the Hammerjack restaurant and exactly at 4pm, we heard a loud Horn signal...  ITS TIME TO SAIL ALONG THE PACIFIC OCEAN! And while the ship started to sail, we humans started to walk and explore.... to familarize ourselves inside the ship....  Elevators on each side of the ship....  Making my mark....  On another side....  We walked along to check out our food outlets... This Promenade Cafe  had became our regular joint .... We like to sit there enjoying our hot drinks and desserts... Free flow of food day and night.... Passing through the bars to the casino... The casino will open only when the ship is in international waters...  At one of the jackpot machines... I wonder if they are real?? But they are only $1 bundles... Then we went up to the highest floor.... The swimming deck.... Taken against the sun.... Nice sunset in the evening.... The Happy Trio!

The Good, The Bad But Not Ugly

MISSING AND NOW BACK IN ACTION...  I checked back my last post and it was 8 March last month and today is 19 April, less than two months only.  So what has been happening in my life?  Lots and lots... good news, bad news, sad news... all concerning health and I guess this is our life cycle as we live day by day.   My health is also not that "fantastic" during the past few months, but mine is a small rock compared to giant boulder which my best buddy is undergoing... I guess some of you know what is happening to her from her blog posts.  I was totally devastated when this happened to her, my tears couldn't help falling and my heart goes out to her.  I am ashamed to say that instead of me giving the comfort that she needs, I am the one that have been receiving her strength in times like this.  She might be crushed physically but she is not broken in her spiritual mind and soul.  One word... "Unbreakable!"  She is a shining example..... "What can death do to m
