Sushi Mentai For Lunch cum Dinner

WHEN I WENT TO FETCH MY GIRL YESTERDAY, it was already past 3pm... Both of us did not have any lunch yet so naturally, our tummies were kind of "growling" for food.  Coffeeshops by then were closed already at this odd hour.  We had no idea where and what to eat and on the way to town, we passed by Greentown Business Centre.  It had been more than a year since I last drove in and I heard many new cafes are opened there recently.

Normally it is very difficult to get a parking space in this business centre but as it was an odd hour, there was one available parking right in front of Padi House and Sushi Mentai.  Both are equally newly opened there.... Out of curiosity, both of us went into Padi House to have a look, main course food downstairs and desserts up the stairs.  My girl shook her head after looking at the menu and we adjourned to Sushi Mentai next.  This is my first time there... and one look at the display on the way, I am glad we made the right choice.
Red plate is RM2.80
Yellow plate is RM1.80
Ambiance is not bad.. this two rows are for couples....
Part of  our lunch were from the welt...

And these below are from the menu...
My girl's choices are mine to eat....
And she doesn't touch these free pickled ginger...
Crunchy, fresh and sweet....
Good to go at this hour.. no crowd and we can eat in peace...
Total burnout from pocket is RM43.
No cooking for the evening...
Just a piece of cake and a Kit Kat ice cream!
oooopsssss!

  1. I am beginning to like Japanese food but only the cooked ones. My golden girls and I love the free ginger pickles.

  4. Mentai in Chinese means no sugar, so kopi-o-mentai means black coffee without sugar. :D

  7. aha so the budget sushi chain has reached Ipoh. since you described the pickled ginger as crunchy, fresh and sweet, I am guessing that you did eat all of them? :)
