Homecooked Dishes Requests From My Master

MY HOMECOOKED DISHES IN JOHOR...
During the weekdays, our dinners  are usually served at home.   Simple homecooked dishes are requested... "Do not cook so much.. cannot finish..."  That is the usual statement from my son and the statement is very subjective.  Either my food is not tasty or he doesn't want to get fat!

So what I normally do is to cook less rice and bigger portion of the dishes... and a look that says.. "Finish it or else..... "  LOL...  Anyway, my son always know how to make me happy one.... When he comes back from work and sees the dishes on the table, his expressions and words always lift me high... And I love to believe whatever he says ... whether he means them or not...  LOL...
This is steamed eggs with minced pork and "tong choy"...
Still in the wok is cabbage with "fuchok" and "glassnoodles"
After scooping up, I forgot to take the pic!
On another day, I did the "All-in-One" dish...
Asparagus, yellow pepper, "yau mak" and minced meat...
One day he asked for chicken claypot rice...
Long time no eat, he mentioned...
And so I did... but not in a clay pot but vision pot...
Chicken, mushrooms, ginger, garlic and dried scallops...
Marinate for a few hours and sauteed them
before putting them on top of the half cooked rice...
Then mixed them up when fully cooked...
And a simple greens as a side dish...
And to my delight, a dear one "donated" and added in three more dishes!
All these for the three of us!
How to finish...
But we managed to finish them all except for the preserved vegetables
which can be kept for the next day....
... to be eaten with Roasted Pork Porridge the next day....
That is all from Reanaclaire's humble kitchen... for now..

  5. Chicken claypot rice so pale, no soy sauce? Then, maybe my girl can eat. Soy sauce is not gluten free, contains wheat.

My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t
