A Sweet Dessert From Her

SWEET TOOTHIE...

A meal is not complete without having something sweet in the mouth.  I am a weird one, I am told cos I can eat between sweet and savoury.  In the midst of eating noodles, I can also handle a bowl of "tong sui" *sweet dessert* in between.  I wonder this is common sight with others or not..... or is it just me?

The desserts I am showing below, I learn it from a good friend of mine, she has just passed on last Friday, a Blessed Good Friday.  I know her since we were in Form 1, so many years and we are still good friends.  I love being with her, she loves to joke and draw laughter from us...

I am still feeling her loss and ..... I cannot think of what to write... at the moment....

Anyway....

This is one recipe I learn from her.....
Steam sweet potatoes on top and beneath the Nian Gao....
Young fresh coconut...
My mouth watering now... cos I love this combination very much!
Frying them is also nice but oily...
This is a better alternative for me...
Combination of the two...
Sweet Potato with Neen Gao then dip into the coconut....
And put into your mouth....
Love it??
I DO!
Thanks Har....
You have left this "legacy" behind for me...

  1. I love sweet stuff and desserts, so sorry for your loss, yes in this life, we must have friends, quality and sincere friends who are not with you because they want to make use of you, god bless your friend's soul, she will always be in loving memory

  2. I can switch anytime and many times between savoury food and sweet dessert, no issues at all. This is a good way to remember your friend by cooking a recipe she taught you. I guess you are sharing this sweet dish with all your other mutual friends instead of just eating it all on your own.
