Salted Chicken And Vietnamese Desserts For Tea Time

VIETNAMESE FOOD nearby our area...

We stopped by a Vietnamese shop on our way back from shopping.  Feeling not so hungry and yet wanting to eat something, we ordered a very light meal but undoubtedly, we were wrong again.  Everything looks good at the shop and we ended up eating these around 4pm and eventually, we skipped dinner and had supper instead.  That explains why I have gained two kilograms in just a month stay in Sacramento!
Inside the Vietnamese shop...
We ordered salted chicken rice... which comes with a bowl of chicken soup as well...
Vietnamese paper wrap rolls...
And steamed tapioca with peanuts as dipping instead of Gula Melaka...
Their Avocado shake is the best... very thick and generous with the fruit....
Our meal in-between lunch and dinner....

  1. I like the salted chicken rice and the avocado shake, does the salted chicken rice taste like hainanese chicken rice in any way?

  2. I like to eat the steamed tapioca. Don't think it will go well with peanut sauce. Prefer to eat it plain without any sauce.

  4. Salted chicken? Like the one very famous in Ipoh? Very nice ASEAN food here - I, for one, would love it a lot more than those western or whatever joints.
