A Heavy Cost At Tasteful Cuisine Restaurant, Kepong

A VERY "HEAVY" MEAL...
Heavy in the sense that the meal was very costly!  Very tasty no doubt about that.... but there is this one dish which has been the topic for many days ever since.  LOL...

We had our dinner at Tasty Cuisine Restaurant in Kepong.  The place was very crowded especially it was a weekend.  Reservations need to be made to avoid disappointment.  I was told that a number of dishes were very tasty, so much so the name of the restaurant justifies.  Since the place was crowded, we waited for nearly an hour before our dishes were served....  There are only five of us and we ordered just four dishes dishes for our dinner.....
Koayteow in egg gravy with two giant prawns split into halves...
Very tasty indeed... Price very steep too...
For this dish alone, it cost around RM120 or so...
Ginger fried rice...
Very fragrant with Wok Hei...
Lots of shredded ginger as toppings...
A mixed vegetables consisting of lotus, celery, black fungus and cashew nuts as toppings...
And now...
The highlight of the dinner....
Comes The Fish called Marble Goby
and in Cantonese, it is called "Soon Hock"
Looks like any normal fish, right?
Not big nor small...
And we were told that this is very costly...
So I thought it would cost around RM150 perhaps???
However to our astonishment, this fish itself cost RM300!
Both of us almost gaped when the bill came... oowww.....
The dinner above made the wallet very much lighter by RM500 in total!
*gasp*

  2. Wow! you made me feel better d. That day I had a not very big grouper fish for RM120 but of course soon hock is so much more expensive than grouper fish. Must be a shocker when you all read the bill.

  3. Everything looks very tasty. Can see the flesh of the fish, very tender and fresh! So the 2 giant prawns and fish stole the show that night and also helps to lighten the wallet of the one who paid the bill!
