A Long Flight To Aberdeen By KLM

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY..

I took a long flight all the way from Ipoh to Aberdeen ALONE, all by myself... Am I clever?  Says who?? LOL... Nothing great but for me, I think I have achieved a milestone.  LOL.. More to come after travelling alone for the first time, the ice is broken.... finally.

From Ipoh to the KLIA, it took nearly 4 hours to reach due to the jam in the evening, thank God I started out early and I reached the airport half an hour before the counter is opened. Just nice to settle down and then checked in my big luggage.  Went to the premier lounge to have a light dinner and waited for another hour before boarding time.  Up on the plane, I spent my time watching two movies, most of the time, my eyes were closing and I guess the movies were watching me instead.  Food on flight was not to my taste as usual, not their fault but mine, of course... never like to eat the main meals on board except for the cakes or ice cream.  LOL..

Fast forward, after 12 hours of flight from KL to Amsterdam on transit then to Aberdeen, I arrived safely, Thank God for journey mercies and feeling super hungry by then!

The airport was under renovation... and I think I was the first one non EU to come out..
How did I know that?
Cos my bag was the first one to come out from the belt! LOL..
From the airport to where hungry tummies go....
It is called Frankie And Benny's..
We were the early birds...
By the time we left, all the booths were occupied...
We had Spaghetti with Meatballs...
Yes, I could finish all that!
And sweet potato fries...
There goes my waistline!
Alright, we actually shared this set...
Must leave some space for dinner!
My first meal in Aberdeen...
Glad to be here again!

  3. I have never seen you go anywhere alone. Glad everything went well. You are so right about airplane food! You are so bundled up, is it cold there? Do you have real cold winters? The spaghetti and meatballs look so good! You have the most beautiful big smile, you just light up your blog!

  10. I am just the poosite. I always enjoyed the free food on the planes as I am a greedy glutton.
I wonder how long you will be there as I am planning to visit England, Scotland and Wales over CNY.

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Phil's Fish Market And Eatery, Moss Landing

DAY TRIP TO MOSS LANDING...  I did not know what to expect since I had not been there before.  We took an hour plus drive to this seafood place, it is an open air restaurant whereby you can dine by the sea or inside.  We chose the latter, since it was quite windy in the open air.  With a baby kid, it is best to have some warmth inside the restaurant. Yes, there was already a queue by the time we reached there, it was actually between lunch and dinner and yet, patrons were ready to have their meal.  Though the queue looked long, we could get a place within 10 minutes or so.   Almost the same picture but someone was looking at me when I took these...  Almost reaching the finishing line to enter ... Clam Chowder to start off...  Cioppino... A combination of seafood... Mussels, prawns, crabs, clams...  Eat what the fishermen eat... Dip the bread in the sauce... Yes, I like this... Fried chicken chunks...  And I still prefer the Cioppino compared to this....  Baby enjoying his own food befo
