At Raemoir Garden Center And Drum Castle, Aberdeen

FROM CRATHES CASTE, we proceeded to Drum Castle on the way back.  Drum Castle is built way back in the 13th century, one of the oldest tower in Scotland.  Surrounded by the 18th century gardens, it was the home of Alexander Forbes Irvine and today, the castle is owned by the National Trust for Scotland and is open during the summer months.  The castle is also open to weddings and corporate functions and that includes local events such as classic car rallies and musical fetes as well.

This time we did not go into the castle, as the saying goes, you see one, you see all.  We just walked around the grounds, took some pictures.  Oh yeah, we stopped for our lunch at Raemoir Garden Center at Banchory on the way.  A very delightful lunch, I can say.... Cold weather always make me hungry every hourly!
At the Drums Castle....
Making my footprints....
And his as well....
In and out of the grounds....
All granite and stones....
Much smaller than the Crathes Castle
At the gardens where beautiful flowers were grown....
Love their combination of colours...
And at the Raemoir, I had Lentil soup....
And I shared chicken sandwich with my sister....
Beef Stovies.....
For the tour guide... Salmon with condiments...
Food is quite cheap, less than 30 pounds sterling...
When all the plates are cleaned, our smiles give credit to the food...
