On Our Own To British Museum, London

FOURTH DAY IN LONDON ON OUR OWN....

Aaron left for Aberdeen on Monday and we were on our own in London for two more days.  The three of us left behind had to be very careful and alert, as in how and where to go, which terminal to take the tube, which station to stop and so forth.   I even recorded on my phone just in case we forgot how... LOL... Aunties are like that!

Anyway, with an ex-marine with us, we ladies have some confidence.... somehow we managed to get our way out from the airport terminal, down to the tube station and all the way to town, stopping at Holborn, took our lunch at Nando's and then walked another ten minutes through the park before reaching the British Museum!

Again, admission is free..... only that we have to queue up for security inspection which was very swiftly done....
Outside Nando's after our brunch....

We walked through the park....
And the road leading to the London Museum opposite...
Just some meters away....
And here we are....
A fast queue leading into the entrance...
Inside the museum....
Some live performance was going on...
We walked here and there....
A couple of hours spent inside...
before we headed out to a chinese restaurant for dinner....
Wrong move, it was rush hour when we reached the station...
Checking out the map to see
if there is another nearer station where it was not so crowded...
Somehow, we managed to make our way back to Heathrow Airport
Back to our comfortable hotel at Premier Inn...

  1. I know how it feels when it was rush hour. So many people. Cramped. Rather wait when lesser people.

  2. A very impressive museum! I like the Egyptian things. Still bundled up, I see. So it must be so cold. I love all the photos of you and your beautiful smile!
