A Scrumptious Dinner At Marine Hotel, Stonehaven

STONEHAVEN....

Through his colleagues' recommendation, Aaron told us that we must go and try the food here at the restaurant at the Marine Hotel in Stonehaven.  And so we did one evening... it was just a half hour drive anyway and we reached the place around 6.30pm.  The bar and cafe, 6DN  (6 degrees north, so it is called) was already crowded, mostly locals, I guess, they were having their rest and relaxation with cheers and fun.  The tables were all occupied.... and we were ushered to the first floor.... One look at the dining area, we fell in love with the ambiance....
We had the place all to ourselves during that hour...
Not as noisy and crowded at the ground floor...
We sat by the window overlooking the sea bay...
Still bright though it was already 7pm...
We were served bread and butter as starters...
Must try their famous soup... Cullen Skint Soup...
My sister ordered some fresh fish....
My BIL and I had the Haddock Fillet made from beer batter....
I had to share my meal... this is really Too Big for me!
Aaron had this... some pork meat which is kind of special...
Both the men had beer to cool down....
And of course, I wanted desserts!
And a Lemonade cake....
We had the whole cafe to ourselves!!
All of us agreed to come here again .... some day.....

  1. Oooo...it is indeed a lovely place. Lovely view through the window. I so miss the fish and chips overseas. Never bother to order the ones here, all Dory, not nice.

  2. The view is fabulous and relaxing to dine over good meals.
I noticed many restaurants in UK have 2 floors which is not common in our country.

  3. Women over the age of 30 are useless and create autistic children. Basically, you shuold never date a woman over the age of 25. Old women are stupid.

An Evening Dinner At Chef Chew Kitchen, Petaling Jaya

BACK TO SG. BULOH for a couple of days.... Come evening, we went for dinner at Chef Chew Kitchen in Seksyen 19, Petaling Jaya.  Since it was my first time there, I did not know what to expect except to sit back, relax and eat.  LOL... It is a one shop lot restaurant so tables are very limited.  Reservation was made at 6pm to be on the safe side, to avoid crowds and waiting for food was very minimized at this time of the day.  For the seven of us, these dishes were served on the table... Thumbs up even before the dinner...  And soon these are served...  Claypot braised ribs...  Their signature dish... Fish Maw...  First time eating fish maw which is whitish in colour...  Black Beancurd with Pumpkin sauce... Hey, this restaurant indeed serves new to me! This must be Sweet Sauce Chicken... For the American... Cos we Asians like Steamed Chicken like this!  LOL...  And the star dish of the dinner is this...  Freshly steamed and succulent prawns

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...  Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch

Night Market Along Lee Garden Plaza Hotel, Hatyai

BY THE TIME WE REACHED THE HOTEL, it was almost dark. This time round, we took a longer rest in the hotel... my girl might not need it but I certainly did!  After recharging around 80% of my body strength, we were ready to explore the streets again. Our hotel is really a strategic spot for us tourists.  The street vendors were all ready to boost their sales in front, at the side and along the whole stretch of street where we stayed.  Left, right, front... the place was filled with people and tourists like us... I could hear some of them speaking my dialect, we felt kind of at home instead of being tourists.... Besides the street vendors in front of the hotel, there was a night market just five minutes walking distance away from our hotel, Lee Garden Plaza.... Maybe they only opened during the weekends?  I am not sure about that.. .anyway, we were kind of excited to see all the bright lights along the street.... Come... Let's Go! We started from the beginning of the str
