Bellevue Char Koay Teow And Desserts Up On Penang Hill

ON THE WAY TO PENANG HILL, we got to know this chef in the train.  He told us that he works for Bellevue Hotel on the hills and his specialty is Char Koay Teow aka Best Fried Noodles.  That means we Must go and try since we were already there.  We did that after our long walk... we went looking for the place and we found it.
We saw him again and we ordered two plates...
Couldn't wait to try!
Here goes.... one plate cost RM8.80
Reasonable price since this is up on the hill...
Let's dig in!
This type of transport is provided for those who stay at the hotel....
We did not so we have to walk and walk....
Too bad the "7 dwarfs" are too dark to be seen....
A bit foggy when looking down....
Looking down from the highest restaurant....
A LOVE place... it is gated...
One has to pay to go in to take pictures...
We did not...
All the LOVE Locks locking the couples in love...
Serious?
I did not hang any love... I hang around here instead...
This is more realistic...
And then desserts time!
Which shall we choose?
All these are just fakes...
The lady told us she spent more than 10K having these displays done...
They look so real, right?
These are the real ones we ordered....
Soon... it was time to descent....
Back to the lowland...
One day when we are free, we might come again..
Maybe to spend a night up on the hill...
One day.... hmmm...

  7. This is such a fun place! I have never seen locks like this before, it is very artistic. I like the picture of you just "hanging" around. The fake desserts do a good job of making people hungry

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Phil's Fish Market And Eatery, Moss Landing

DAY TRIP TO MOSS LANDING...  I did not know what to expect since I had not been there before.  We took an hour plus drive to this seafood place, it is an open air restaurant whereby you can dine by the sea or inside.  We chose the latter, since it was quite windy in the open air.  With a baby kid, it is best to have some warmth inside the restaurant. Yes, there was already a queue by the time we reached there, it was actually between lunch and dinner and yet, patrons were ready to have their meal.  Though the queue looked long, we could get a place within 10 minutes or so.   Almost the same picture but someone was looking at me when I took these...  Almost reaching the finishing line to enter ... Clam Chowder to start off...  Cioppino... A combination of seafood... Mussels, prawns, crabs, clams...  Eat what the fishermen eat... Dip the bread in the sauce... Yes, I like this... Fried chicken chunks...  And I still prefer the Cioppino compared to this....  Baby enjoying his own food befo
