Our Scrumptious Dinner At Hai Boey Seafood Restaurant, Penang

CHECKED IN....  to rest, to refreshen and then off we go again...

This time we went a bit further to the Bayan Lepas side.  One of my friends suggested going to Hai Boey Fishery Restaurant for our dinner.  We have to be there early to beat the crowd, so early that we were the first customers entering the open air restaurant.  Since we were the early birds, we walked around the beach area and explored a bit... Then we ordered a few dishes for our dinner and all of us guessed incorrectly when the bill came....
At the entrance of the seafood restaurant...
overlooking the beach....
Let's check out what to order...

Someone is having fun at the "booth"...
All of us had fresh coconut for drinks...
Appetizers... Fried Eggplant...
Overflowing Curry Prawns in Coconut gravy....
We must order this again the next time!
Fresh young okra with chopped condiments which taste like sweet sour and spicy...
A rather small portion of Lala...
Steaming hot fish in Claypot...
Red Snapper it is....
Claypot Flower Crab... the soup has a wine taste in it...
Part of the food served...
The crabs came in later....
And the price came to around RM220...

And the lady diners with full grins!!
We must come back again for other dishes one day!!

  1. The food looks amazing! And being right beside the water, I am guessing the seafood is freshly caught. LOVE the colorful hanging pinwheels!
