Different Kind Of Meals

MIXED MEALS....

Looking back at these pictures, I realize that I did not take rice for the past couple of days.  How come, I am also surprised!  If my siblings know that I have not taken rice for a few days, they might not believe me, they call me "Rice Bucket"... must take rice daily and no cravings for western food.  Well, I have changed... maybe age and travelling have changed me.  LOL.... I am learning, learning to go without rice and instead of other fusion other than rice and rice....
My breakfast....
For lunch, I took another piece of bread....
Very rare during normal days
But now are abnormal days and I have changed...
For dinner, I ate these...
I went to buy from a food court...
Fried chicken, pumpkin, a piece of beancurd fish cake and a piece of bread...
Weird meal?
I agree.... and enjoyed it...
Now come to think of it, I call it Lazy!
Just eat whatever is in the house...
Ordered from Spade Burger for me and my nephew....
But this is my share... first time ordering from this outlet...
And last night, I had these with my friends....
Home hotpot dinner...
Finally a very normal meal and a balanced one as well...
But still no rice!!

  1. You've lost your authentic Chinese identity - Chinese people MUST have rice every day one. My late father was like that, two plates every meal!!!

  5. MCO has made us pick up new habits. I also go without rice sometimes and I am already used to it. Sure can lose weight like that. LOL!

  6. I must have rice, at least once a day. Otherwise something not right and my tummy not full/hungry fast.

Bit I feel I dont eat much now. Unlike last time. Maybe appetite getting smaller.

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Phil's Fish Market And Eatery, Moss Landing

DAY TRIP TO MOSS LANDING...  I did not know what to expect since I had not been there before.  We took an hour plus drive to this seafood place, it is an open air restaurant whereby you can dine by the sea or inside.  We chose the latter, since it was quite windy in the open air.  With a baby kid, it is best to have some warmth inside the restaurant. Yes, there was already a queue by the time we reached there, it was actually between lunch and dinner and yet, patrons were ready to have their meal.  Though the queue looked long, we could get a place within 10 minutes or so.   Almost the same picture but someone was looking at me when I took these...  Almost reaching the finishing line to enter ... Clam Chowder to start off...  Cioppino... A combination of seafood... Mussels, prawns, crabs, clams...  Eat what the fishermen eat... Dip the bread in the sauce... Yes, I like this... Fried chicken chunks...  And I still prefer the Cioppino compared to this....  Baby enjoying his own food befo
