My Sunflower Seeds And Stubby Okras

PLUCKING MOMENTS....  Andy is back again, this time not to plant but to harvest. LOL... The sunflowers that he planted two months ago have reached their peak.  It is time to un-seed them and see if he could replant them again using the seeds.  Not sure it could work... the seeds are still drying under the sun during the day.
The sunflower turns into this.... 
And I didn't know they were actually sunflower seeds until we plucked them open... 
Hope these can be replanted.... 


As for my own two pots of previous fat okras, they are slow in harvesting and so far, I have eaten only six of them.  Initially I did not know what type of species they were until this friend pointed out to me in Facebook, mentioning that.. if there are eight corners, then the okra is Arab species and if five corners, it is Taiwanese.  Thanks to her, now I know....  LOL... Interesting, right?  
Still Sprouting high.... 
So now I know...
Mine are Arab ones, short and stubby and yet crunchy!
I am going to plant more pots of these...
They can either be steamed or stir fry with sambal!

    Oh!! I didn't know got Arab ones. I prefer Ang Moh sized to eat.

    I must try planting Sunflowers as the blooming flowers always looked happy and big.

    I got some sunflower seeds from my church early this year. Try to grow them but not successful. Maybe will try again since I have some more seeds.

    Arabic okra is so cute. Haha

    I am sure his seeds will re-grow! All you really need to do is dump them on the ground like our neighbor did, and they will grow!

    Did you all eat some of the sunflower seeds? Like kuaci. Your okra is so cute. Didn't know about the different types of okras.

    I planted okra once. Eeeee....can the sunflower seeds be eaten? One of my neighbours plant sunflowers, very nice when they bloom.

      Of course they can be eaten. I have eaten sunflower seeds direct from the pods before.
