Irresistible Snacks At Four Seasons, Bercham, Ipoh

UNHEALTHY but definitely Tasty!!

Yes, I really indulge in unhealthy snacks once awhile or twice in awhile... LOL... Cannot really resist when I pass by this area in Bercham, a corner coffeeshop called Four Seasons.  During MCO, a lady used to deliver food to my house and she recommended this snack to me.  Once tasted, there is no turning back, I go and buy them myself since she does not deliver to the house anymore.

My kids also like these fried snacks, consisting of sweet potatoes, yam, banana and sweet glutinous flour called "Nien Koe."  That is definitely my favourite snack of all times!  Know how they do it?  The fried Nien Koe is one inch thick, wrapped between one piece of yam and one piece of sweet potato.  When you want bite into it, you got to open your mouth really big to do that... and the best part is, the melted Nien Koe will dripped into your mouth and....... after that, I cannot describe how tasty the combination is!   LOL....

This is the stall... it is just outside the corner coffeeshop...
Yes, we can call up to book first...
It opens at 11am and finishes around 1.30pm...
Since we were early, the Nien Koe was still "under process"....
Sweet Potatoes balls is nice too....
The boss gave us two to try....
We bought two fried bananas as well....
Can you see the stick?  The boss is poking onto them for us to try...
So nice of him....
Fried Yam which we bought too....
Yes, we were greedy...
Everything seen... we wanted to eat....
And on the left is the Fried Nien Koe...
The best of the best!
If only someone delivers this to me now....................

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! Meat from the crocodile tail?  Is it just a name or what... I really don't know... Took a few bites of it... and I am full!! Well, these were the food we

My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t

Home Cooked Dishes

NOT MUCH HAPPENING... and lazy too.... My neighbour gave me half pumpkin and I have been keeping it for a couple of days before I finally decide what to do with it.  I cook it into small chunks and sauteed it with minced meat, okra and basil leaves.  Yes, it would be great to put in some small cilipadi but unfortunately, I did not find any in my fridge.  Steamed a bowl of rice and that was meal for dinner.... One dish meal....  Pumpkin reminds me of sweet potatoes...sweet after cooking... Another dinner meal consist of Sambal Fish, black pepper met and a hard boiled egg  I only boiled the egg, the other two dishes were "sponsored" by my neighbour... LOL...
