And Our 2021 Thanksgiving Feast Began

FULL COURSE... and all of us were seated around the table... 8 of us.... (baby went for his afternoon nap)

My son again had the honor to say Grace and a Thankful prayer and after that, the feast began... "Pass me this please, pass me that please.... pass this around... thank you, thank you..... "  This is what happens when the table is not round but rectangle....

Oh, I forgot to show the turkey.....
Ok, don't get funny ideas.....
I am just showing the stuffings....
Sideview might be better....
Ready to be cut....
The Captain cum Chef officiated...
then the knife was passed over to my son... to do the rest....
Laying out the table....
Finally food is ready!
Sliced turkey...
Another turkey cooked by our Filipino friends...
Cranberry jelly....
Stuffings and Macaroni and cheese....
Peas and bacon....
Well, I guess that was about all...
Except for the 3 pies in the fridge....
And the patiently awaiting guests...
All ready to feast after this is done!

  1. Yes, the sideview is better! LOL!!! We are not fans of turkey but will eat to follow the tradition - at Christmas, not Thanksgiving...with cranberry sauce. My missus prefers to buy a BIG chicken and roast that instead, the meat is nice, she insists.

Such a lovely gathering! I love the crockery! So pretty! So classy! Here, usually, we will see all that plastic or melamine...or stainless steel.

  6. Don't really like turkey but for special festival, it is nice to enjoy around with loved ones. Bought turkey once, hardly could finished it at all. Ended up using the leftover in salad and spaghetti. Lol. Turkey is better enjoy with lots of people due to its size.

My White Elephant

WHITE ELEPHANT.... still laying on my table for two months I think....   My friend groomer is not free these days, my poor Labby badly needs her hair cut and leaving no choice, I ordered the grooming shaver online.  I thought it would be easy to install the shaver to the appliance and till today, I am still at my wits end on how it is fixed.  My friend gave me a tip... check out the Youtube, she said.  Yeah, how come I did not think of that.....  But till today, I have not even touched it and my poor furry member will have to wait till this Mama has her right mood to do it.   My own hair also badly needs a hair cut and with the high Covid cases each day, I guess I have to tolerate for another month with my unruly hair..... or perhaps I can make use of this clipper on myself before I use it on my furry member!  LOL.... Crazy me! Still standing nicely on the table....  Still looking at the gadgets.... and not doing anything about them... I am happy with this dish....  Better looking afte

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Two Dishes One Soup Dinner

AUNTIE'S SIMPLE COOKING... for dinner on one evening.... Defrosted a piece of cod, my last piece in the freezer besides another few more pieces of other types of fish.  I think I consume the most fish this year, never bought so many types of fish before.  Maybe it is made easier for me this year cos of the online shopping at Gracious, cleaned, vacuumed and free delivery above RM50.   My last piece of cod.... A plate of greens called Yau Mak...  Not so sure what it is called in English And chicken herbal soup....  My complete meal for one evening....  As usual, I do not take much rice... Or perhaps I did not take rice at all for this meal....  LOL...
