Doc Said I Overworked...

After logging out at around 9pm last night, I went straight to bed and started dreaming of all sorts, flashing across my mind. The panadol didn't work... I was still having high fever and by morning, I know that I have to pay a visit to my regular doctor... no choice.

My doc said I have "overworked."  Body resistence is low... I wonder how "overworked" I was...  then thinking back, maybe I did spend a lot of time doing housework but after the fall the other day, I had slowed down....  till I did the baking... and now this..

Now I need to get well fast.. otherwise I would be missing all the nice food during Chinese New Year!  With the above medication, I hope I will be back in my best soon!

Meanwhile, this will be my meal... a mug of oats, "square biscuits" (soh tar pian)

 and a loaf of Massimo bread....

Pre-CNY Blues

There is no proper post for today... my body is running a temperature...
Few possibilities...

1) Could it be due to the fall I had here?
2)  It could be due to the virus I contacted during the weekend...
3)  But I suspect it could be due to the "tasting" of cookies we baked last night... After so many years of not baking and now that I did, I am "shot." 

This proves that Baking in front of the oven is not my line....

Time to Rest and Sweat Out...

Another late post update...it is 10.10pm now... very late post... late because of this big "lump" here...

Not only one... but two.. three... and four times of these lumps....

Reanaclaire in action!!

I can finally brag a bit... hahahaa... 

Yes, tonight is Baking Time for Reanaclaire...

Started around 7pm, my sister and I played around with the groundnut doughs...

She brought over her oven and together we "cooperated" to make the easiest of all recipes...

Homemade Delights In Greentown, Ipoh

My colleague knows very well that I love sweet desserts and he is so kind to show me a newspaper cutting on a new shop selling sweet delights!  Of course, I was very excited when I saw the desserts advertised on a two-page advertisement and couldn't wait to go and try....

Come lunch time, a few of us went searching for the shop in Greentown Business Centre but we couldn't locate it... thank goodness we brought the newspaper cutting along, there was a contact number there... and in no time, we found it!  

Nice ambience for tete-a-tete...

Before we could even sit down, I started to take pictures..

(of course with the Boss's permission!)

Chatted with us throughout the whole lunch...

Telling us how this shop comes about...

They serve Western and Asian food... 

and of course that includes these Sweet Delights...

Not too sweet, just nice for health conscious ladies like me... hahaha...

Instead of the yam we usually eat, these are different...

These pudding are made from "loke tau" .. or should I say "de-skinned green beans?

And to my sweet delight, they also serve my favourite dessert drink...

A piece of each is good enough for me...

Followed by a piece of chicken pie... fillings full to the brim...

Well, I cannot say how great the food is...

As for me, I don't mind going there again...

Slipped, Fell And OUCH!!

Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall ... Humpty Dumpty had a great fall... "Aiyak!! OUCH!!"

I was mopping the last few steps of the stairs when I suddenly slipped and went sliding down the steps till I sat on the floor.   On impulse, I called out to my God..... Then for several moments, I sat there, not daring to get up straightaway... I felt some pain and it came from my right elbow, it was bleeding a bit then and kind of blue now...

Just now I checked, it was a bit swollen at the edge of my right elbow....
and painful only when I touch... 

I applied some aloe vera ointment and "Ah Poh" oil...  

Now I feel a slight ache on my back...

This is so-called aftermath of a fall..

When I posted up my "elbow" on Facebook, someone called me almost immediately and that definitely helps to take the pain away.  :)

Chilling Out On A Saturday Night

Another night out chilling with my friends at Frens (or is it Frenz or Friends) in old town, Ipoh... After dinner at AEON Station 18, we met up with a few friends to have a drink... that place is famous for beer and more beer.. but too bad, I don't like to drink that, if it is not bitter but sweet, then it would be a different story. :)

Then suddenly heard the "Dong Chang, Dong Chang.... " drumming...

And to our amusement and surprise... we saw them.... 

They came round each table to give out "Golden Packets" and 

well wishes to all the patrons....courtesy by Carlsberg...

Around 11pm or so, we left the place and headed back to our homes...

And thus... a very late post tonight...

Pre-Chinese New Year Thoughts

Another week from now, it will be Chinese New Year!   YES!!  I am really looking forward to next week, not so much because it is CNY but because my KIDS will be HOME again!!  Nothing is better than to see them together in our own house... hmmmm....

This year is a bit different as the previous year ...... just this evening, I had to do the festive shopping alone... OK, not really alone actually, this year, I went with my mom and sibling to shop for this coming festive season.  I remember that I went with my girl last year....  hmmmmm...

Alright...  time does change our lifestyle each year.... One year is different from the next... hmmmm.....
