United In Reunion

There were 14 of us at the reunion dinner... this year, no parents-in-law, both of them passed away last year, nevertheless, a reunion still have to take place somehow. This year, 3 families joined up at the East Ocean Restaurant, for the first time, not cooking at home.

We felt the change... no elderly people this time and I could sense my sister-in-law shedding some tears during the dinner.. it was different somehow... anyway, at least all of us were there, regardless of the expensive food package....

loe sang.. a MUST...

the youngsters world now....

some of the dishes for this RM598 package...

curry prawns..

fried rice

mixed vegetables

steamed fish..

this... i m sure all of us know...

It was an expensive dinner..
during CNY, what to expect...
anyway, it is the reunion that counts... I guess....

  1. When you said your in-laws were coming, I assumed your mother and father in-law. I did not know they had passed on. So sorry to hear that!! But it does look like fun and the food looks wonderful!!! What are those puffy round white cake thingys in the last picture? Are they filled with something?

  2. No wonder no hassle. Reunion in restaurant. Here, all restaurants closed...can buy to take home but must collect around lunchtime - cold already, not nice anymore.

  3. Yes, RM598 is a bit costly but it is worth paying since all the three families can save the hassle of cooking... Happy New Year, Claire.

  4. Happy CNY to you and family!! : )

  5. Somewhow this year, I dun feel like dining in Chinese restaurants! I feel the food are boring and expensive! Rather go for Thai, Jap or Western! Haha!

  6. sorry claire, i had misunderstood abt your in laws on your previous posts. Anyhow, here wishing you and your family a very happy chinese new year and gong xi fa cai!!

  7. After the lohsung all will be sung sung mung mung..hehe ~;).

  8. Looking 兔tù-wards 兔tù-day 兔tù-morrow and 兔tù-getherness forever.
兔tù-begin with good health & wealth
Wishing You & family A Hopping, Happy & Prosperous Rabbit 兔tù Year
    恭喜发财 GongXiFaCai

  9. Ops....when I read your post, only that I know both of your in-laws have passed away. is worthy to spend for that delicious reunion dinner....once a year.

  10. hello frens..sorry for not being able to answer one by one.. very busy.. whole day.. now midnight but still cooking for tomorrow hoi leen.. gosh!

  11. yeah, things just have to move on.. the RM598 set is quite worth it given you have fish prawns and suckling pigs and yee sang.. :)
