Times passes super fast when I am at home.... my two days medical leave is over but I am still sneezing.... ahhhchoooo...

My nose is so itchy that I feel like taking it out and scratching the inside... now I understand how suffering it is for those who have sinus...

My eyes are heavy and my throat is dry... gosh.. isn't this called Sick? Some more say I "lazy" for not going to work! tsk....tsk..... LOL....

Anyway, I am still thankful that I can still drive around, taking my girl to and from school, going to market, taking Andy back from the bus station and managed to cook up a simple meal for the three of us...

I know I am not supposed to take chicken..
but I did .. thus now throat also itchy... sigh..

bought 2 bundles of spinach...
and boiled some ABC soup...
(potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, big onions, dried scallops
with chicken bones)

Simple meal for lunch...
Dinner? Not yet...
I surrender... no more energy already...
Guess bread and butter will do... hmmmm....

  2. No need to cook again for dinner. In future, you just need to prepare more servings for lunch so that the leftover can be taken again for dinner. That's what I do during weekends. Save time and energy... lazy ma, haha.

  5. Good chance for further rest during the 3-day weekend break. You could have cooked a little more to cover both lunch and dinner. I do that sometimes ;)

  10. Do you eat Thai style with a fork and spoon? I lived in Thailand for 10 months in 1969 and could never get used to that way of eating. lol. I prefer to just use a fork.

  11. Your cooking looks better than lots of the food you buy! But why not eat chicken??? Here, we are told chicken soup is the best thing for a cold! It heals, there is a chemical in the chicken bones and broth like medicine.You made a delicious looking feast! Here, we usually just have a sandwich and cookie or maybe a salad for lunch.

  20. I have a cold and didn't even attempt to cook today. I do want to cook after seeing this but it can wait until I'm better.

  21. try diluted apple cider vinegar + honey or just raw manuka honey ? It works for me :D

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL... 
Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Caring And Sharing At Limestone, Regal Lodge, Ipoh

IMPROMPTU GATHERING.... Nothing was planned beforehand, it was only at the last minute that we received call to have lunch at Limestone Cafe, inside Regal Lodge.  It was my first time there to have set lunch.  The menu prices were reasonable, around RM15.90 for the main dish, RM3 for a bowl of soup and RM2 for ice cream.  Other than that, coffee, tea and soft drinks are free.  
We were there not so much for the food but for the ambiance... we practically had the whole cafe to ourselves during that lunch hour.  Only one or two tables were occupied and we spent more than two hours there since it was a Friday long hour lunch for my working colleagues.  After a few months absence from me, it was wonderful to catch up with my ex-colleagues again!  
I was super hungry by lunch time and I felt like eating almost anything in the menu. We ended up ordering one main dish each and then sharing them with one another so that we could taste a bit of this and that.....

Famous Wanton Mee At New Hoong Kee, Bandar Sri Damansara

BREAKFAST FEAST..  Best meal of the day is always my first meal because I know I am able to tuck in as much as my stomach can accept.  I eat a lot in the mornings and then slowly dwindle by the end of the day.  As the saying goes, eat like a king in the morning and like a pauper in the evenings.  This is what I normally do nowadays, not because I wanted to, but it is my own body system that tune me this way.  Though I deny I am old but the body says otherwise... LOL...

On this morning, we went to New Hoong Kee in Bandar Sri Damansara, my sibling said this is currently his favourite place.  And after trying, I know why.... the food we ordered, all turned out good and tasty, even the curry reminded me of my good old days!
Managed to catch the name otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell this story now...  My type of curry... I can go without the chicken... Just the other ingredients will do fine for me.. I like the way they cook this curry... Heard the BBQ pork is tasty too... melt in …
