Thai Food In Bercham Area

Yours truly here didn't cook for Andy when he came home, poor boy! What a mom, right? All meals were taken outside our house.. LOL...Before we went to church, we took our dinner in this Thai food coffeeshop, open air shop, hot con.. no air con...It is situated along the junction going to Bercham from Ipoh Garden East.

These were what we ordered...
tom yam soup for 5 of us...
their special steamed stingray fish-thai style...
fried crispy eggs with lala (clams)
green kailan with salted fish..
but we didn't see any pieces of salted fish in the dish..
we ordered a small plate of mango kerabu..
I love this.. should have ordered a big portion!
Before....
Half way through.... the fish came...
that was why I took a picture....
For this meal, it came to RM82 ($37usd)
for 5 of us...
A bit overpriced... in my opinion...

  2. Ok lah...got lots of prawns in the tom yam, got fish...that one's sting ray, is it? Not very expensive fish. For 5 people, reasonable...not too pricey - provided the food is good.

stp: without tomyam, maybe much cheaper.. I will opt for bigger plate of kerabu next year.. cos it is very appetising..

  10. when i go out with family, we always made sure to tell the restaurant folks to bring th fish first, because it is always the last to arrive. By that time we nearly finish all out food.. lol!

  11. This meal would be cheap here, especially for five people! What makes the eggs crispy? And what does stingray taste like? I didn't know you could eat it!

  26. OMGawd the dishes looked so good. Difficult to say it is pricey though, coz tom yam soup is never cheap ( and i saw the big prawn!). I honestly thought that Bangkok, being the place of origin of tom yum soup, would be a cheaper place to have it but I was wrong coz prices there started from RM25 for a bowl of soup ( for 3 pax).

  28. Good Tom yum is hard to find in Malaysia as their versions get distorted. Yours looked good and the price is high.
