El Pollo Loco

Along the freeway there are many outlets selling fast food, the common ones are Mcdonalds, Denny, In N Out, Panda Express (chinese fast food) , Taco Bell (Mexican), Burger King..... but one I love so far is this El Pollo Loco... whatever that means...
El Pollo Loco
My sister told me that I must try these succulent grilled chicken drumsticks!
The skin are almost grilled till they are oil-less...
Can be ordered with or without side orders....
They are eaten with side-kicks...Salsa and the green looking sauce...
I kept refilling the Salsa!  Best to be eaten with the grilled chicken!
They are cheap too.. less than $10usd (don't convert)
I feel they are much better than Kenny Rogers which surprisingly were not seen at all over here..
I also notice that there are too many fast food outlets,
seems like they are everywhere......
like what we have in Malaysia but only that ours are hawker stalls...
Which is healthier... fast food or hawker stalls?  :)

  1. Hawker stalls are better because the food would be fresh, but hygiene????

  2. I see that you are enjoying yrself in US.

And yes, for a huge serving of food that you had is way too cheap of USD10. It kinda reminds me of Kenny Rogers though.

But Kenny Rogers, serving quite small though. ;)

Hmmmmmm, sometimes, I yearn for fast food. Eating too much hawker food can be sian, also.

  11. I love grilled chicken. It looks scrumptious. My mouth's watering just by looking at the photo. I don't care which is much healthier. As long as its edible that's good for me.

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...
Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch here in …

Caring And Sharing At Limestone, Regal Lodge, Ipoh

IMPROMPTU GATHERING.... Nothing was planned beforehand, it was only at the last minute that we received call to have lunch at Limestone Cafe, inside Regal Lodge.  It was my first time there to have set lunch.  The menu prices were reasonable, around RM15.90 for the main dish, RM3 for a bowl of soup and RM2 for ice cream.  Other than that, coffee, tea and soft drinks are free.
We were there not so much for the food but for the ambiance... we practically had the whole cafe to ourselves during that lunch hour.  Only one or two tables were occupied and we spent more than two hours there since it was a Friday long hour lunch for my working colleagues.  After a few months absence from me, it was wonderful to catch up with my ex-colleagues again!
I was super hungry by lunch time and I felt like eating almost anything in the menu. We ended up ordering one main dish each and then sharing them with one another so that we could taste a bit of this and that.....

Famous Wanton Mee At New Hoong Kee, Bandar Sri Damansara

BREAKFAST FEAST..  Best meal of the day is always my first meal because I know I am able to tuck in as much as my stomach can accept.  I eat a lot in the mornings and then slowly dwindle by the end of the day.  As the saying goes, eat like a king in the morning and like a pauper in the evenings.  This is what I normally do nowadays, not because I wanted to, but it is my own body system that tune me this way.  Though I deny I am old but the body says otherwise... LOL...

On this morning, we went to New Hoong Kee in Bandar Sri Damansara, my sibling said this is currently his favourite place.  And after trying, I know why.... the food we ordered, all turned out good and tasty, even the curry reminded me of my good old days!
Managed to catch the name otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell this story now...  My type of curry... I can go without the chicken... Just the other ingredients will do fine for me.. I like the way they cook this curry... Heard the BBQ pork is tasty too... melt in …
