Meeting Up With Chris On CNY 2013

Reanaclaire went to visit blogger, Chris Au on the 4th day of CNY... took my kids and my mom... We had made a date the night before that we would be going out for lunch the next day...
He said he would  give us a treat... heheehe...
And we reached his house promptly around noon...
But upon reaching, he told us that his poor stomach couldn't wait till noon
and had an early brunch while waiting for us...
While waiting for his stomach to "digest"
we enjoyed eating the titbits in his house...
Nicole is such a cute girl...
When the father said "Take picture, girl", she would stop playing her toys
and pose up readily for the camera.....

Ok, as for our lunch date, it didn't materialize in the end...
Chris Au lost his way while following us from behind...
The town was jammed up and eventually  he landed himself in Foh San
while my kids and I ended up eating in Greentown instead....
(hey Chris, next time you don't drive your own car..
purposely losing your way to save your pocket?  LOL)

  4. That must have been a disappointment for you and your Mom and kids. Yes, next time, you take him with you. LOL It's not like he didn't know you were coming, he should have gotten up earlier and eaten something light so he would have been hungry at noon. Have a great week-end.

  7. Yikes, what an unfortunate incident!!! A visit filled with bad luck! First his stomach, then getting lost!!! Too bad he would not ride with you. But you and the little girl look so sweet!!! Is this his girl?

  8. That shows how 'familiar' he is with his own hometown @_@

Claire, you can share bajus with Fernie. You look like one young lady there. I love your outfit :D

  9. Look so slim with that outfit. Hahaha....so funny, instead of having lunch together it ended up each eating at different places.

  12. Going out for lunch during CNY is crazy with the popular restaurants or kopitiams fully packed like its foc.

  13. Haha quite common thing to get lost in jams when you can't lead the car following behind. Always good to 'brief' the driver the rough idea of the location. For me would like to know first than rather following 'blindly' behind could be quite taxing and BP could increase tremendously especially with jams and the traffic lights. OK lah you & Chris both can play the teow chew muzik ka ki ku ka ki...lolz

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...
Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch here in …

Caring And Sharing At Limestone, Regal Lodge, Ipoh

IMPROMPTU GATHERING.... Nothing was planned beforehand, it was only at the last minute that we received call to have lunch at Limestone Cafe, inside Regal Lodge.  It was my first time there to have set lunch.  The menu prices were reasonable, around RM15.90 for the main dish, RM3 for a bowl of soup and RM2 for ice cream.  Other than that, coffee, tea and soft drinks are free.
We were there not so much for the food but for the ambiance... we practically had the whole cafe to ourselves during that lunch hour.  Only one or two tables were occupied and we spent more than two hours there since it was a Friday long hour lunch for my working colleagues.  After a few months absence from me, it was wonderful to catch up with my ex-colleagues again!
I was super hungry by lunch time and I felt like eating almost anything in the menu. We ended up ordering one main dish each and then sharing them with one another so that we could taste a bit of this and that.....
I felt like eating Aglio Oli…

Famous Wanton Mee At New Hoong Kee, Bandar Sri Damansara

BREAKFAST FEAST..  Best meal of the day is always my first meal because I know I am able to tuck in as much as my stomach can accept.  I eat a lot in the mornings and then slowly dwindle by the end of the day.  As the saying goes, eat like a king in the morning and like a pauper in the evenings.  This is what I normally do nowadays, not because I wanted to, but it is my own body system that tune me this way.  Though I deny I am old but the body says otherwise... LOL...

On this morning, we went to New Hoong Kee in Bandar Sri Damansara, my sibling said this is currently his favourite place.  And after trying, I know why.... the food we ordered, all turned out good and tasty, even the curry reminded me of my good old days!
Managed to catch the name otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell this story now...  My type of curry... I can go without the chicken... Just the other ingredients will do fine for me.. I like the way they cook this curry... Heard the BBQ pork is tasty too... melt in …
