Home Is Where Our Hearts Belong...

Home is where our hearts are?  Perhaps I should say this..  where there is food, inside or outside the house, we are joined together...  :)

I took off on Monday to have a long weekend with my kids and for once, I woke up early to go marketing.  Aaron joined me as a "carrier"... yes, he shall carry the weight off my shoulders while in the market... hahahaha...

Before going into the market, we had a light breakfast at a coffeeshop... too bad, forgot to take the curry noodles shared by both of us... and after our marketing, we went straight home and blew the trumpet!  LOL..  The rest of the gang woke up and we went to old town for our lunch....

By the time we reached home, it was almost 2pm and into the kitchen I went... and with some help here and there, we managed to scoop up a dinner by 6pm.... Eat and eat... thus the saying.. Food is where our hearts are....
For starters... ahemmm...
Turnip soup...
Someone told me that they are anti-oxident...
My sister "donated" some curry chicken....
and I gave her some soup in return... hahaha...
My kids like "Siew Bak Choy" and I added in a packet of enoki mushrooms..
Made a mistake, added a bit too much water...
My girl requested for steamed fish topped with Tomyam paste...
I put lots of shredded ginger to take away whatever smell...
Bought a steamed salted chicken from the famous shop in town...
I cut it up... but the cutting up process was kind of messy!
Ok, here they are anyway....
Not nicely arranged yet..
Someone looks like he was already drooling by the time the dishes were laid on the table...
And the "drooler" ended up washing the plates after the meal....
hahahaaa...

  18. I usually use a pair of scissors to cut the chicken. So it won't be messy. Yummy home-cooked food.
