At Two Six Restaurant In Panglima Street, Ipoh

We love coming to this shop for our meals but we did not know the name of the shop until today!  After parking her car, my colleague mumbled to herself.. "What a funny name, Two Six" ... then only I looked up and saw the name... It should be "One Two Six".. I told her... meaning "Can get food" but why just "Two Six?"  Anyone can decipher that?
Two Six Shop along Panglima Street in Old Town, Ipoh...
Shouldn't it be One Two Six?  "Wan Toe Sik"
Chinese.. Chinese....
This time we didn't order soup base noodles...
We opted for curry today....
My colleague ordered for extra cockles!   Yummsss...
One of us ordered BBQ meat with cockles...
As for myself, I didn't want the curry to be too spicy...
And the lady told me that she knows what to do....
That is why my curry is different from the above...
But I forgot to tell her that I just wanted roasted pork...
And ended up with three types of meat instead...
Each bowl cost around RM5 more or less...
And I could not resist this egg custard as dessert to make the meal complete....
This cost RM2.50 and it was worth the price... the pudding was so smooth!
I wouldn't mind going just for the toasted bread and the egg custard anytime!

  2. Nowadays, kopitiam likes to use funny names to attract cutomers (marketing strategy) like "chiak pa boi", 168 (yi lu fatt) meaning all the way prosperous, "ta chui pah" (big mouth). The curry looks fiery red. Nice dessert too.

  4. I thought all you people there No. 1 when it comes to eating spicy food. I was a typical Sibu Foochow until I went around with a Penang friend...and I started eating spicy food. My girl also - after Sg Petani, she can eat spicy food too - not before she left home. You ask my missus - she will say not spicy, no kick...not nice.
