How To Keep Your Family Safe During A Storm

Some storms can be fun to watch, such as summer rainstorms that don't cause any serious damage. However, while some storms can be beautiful, others can be dangerous and potentially lethal. If the weatherman is reporting that a big storm is about to roll through your area, then follow these tips on how you can keep your family safe, no matter what the weather conditions are.

Have A Radio That Doesn't Depend On Electricity

It's important to have a battery-operated radio on hand. This will allow you to keep listening to the weather report for updates, even if you lose power. While you might be able to listen to the weather report via your cellphone, cell towers can often lose service during serious weather incidents, while radio towers tend to be more durable. A battery-operated radio is the best way to stay updated.

Be Wary Of Flooding

During a rainstorm, the biggest risk is flash flooding. Flash flooding is what happens when more water is coming down than what the sewer system is prepared to handle. In the event of a flood, it's important that you move to the highest place in your house. Don't risk trying to save your belongings if flood water is pooling in your home. Not only would you risk drowning, but flood water is often mixed with sewage and is highly unsanitary and dangerous.

Stay Indoors

Going outside during a rainstorm is dangerous. High winds can create projectiles and the threat of lightning also exists. Unless being in your home has become dangerous, it's important that you stay indoors. In almost all serious weather situations, staying indoors is preferable to going outside. The only reason to leave your home during a serious storm is if flooding has made it impossible to remain inside.

A storm can be quite serious and dangerous. However, it's essential that you put the safety of you and your family first. Don't worry about your belongings; indeed, you can always seek out storm damage restoration services after the storm has passed. During a storm, stay safe and don't worry about your things.

I would like to thank you for all the information you give. While you may have the capacity to tune in to the climate report by means of your cellphone, cell towers can frequently lose benefit amid genuine climate episodes, while radio towers have a tendency to be more sturdy. A battery-worked radio is the most ideal approach to stay redesigned. In case of a surge, it's critical that you move to the most astounding spot in your home. Try not to chance attempting to spare your assets if surge water is pooling in your home. In addition to the fact that you would hazard suffocating, however surge water is frequently blended with sewage and is exceptionally unsanitary and hazardous.

An Evening Dinner At Chef Chew Kitchen, Petaling Jaya

BACK TO SG. BULOH for a couple of days.... Come evening, we went for dinner at Chef Chew Kitchen in Seksyen 19, Petaling Jaya.  Since it was my first time there, I did not know what to expect except to sit back, relax and eat.  LOL... It is a one shop lot restaurant so tables are very limited.  Reservation was made at 6pm to be on the safe side, to avoid crowds and waiting for food was very minimized at this time of the day.  For the seven of us, these dishes were served on the table... Thumbs up even before the dinner...  And soon these are served...  Claypot braised ribs...  Their signature dish... Fish Maw...  First time eating fish maw which is whitish in colour...  Black Beancurd with Pumpkin sauce... Hey, this restaurant indeed serves new to me! This must be Sweet Sauce Chicken... For the American... Cos we Asians like Steamed Chicken like this!  LOL...  And the star dish of the dinner is this...  Freshly steamed and succulent prawns

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...  Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch

Night Market Along Lee Garden Plaza Hotel, Hatyai

BY THE TIME WE REACHED THE HOTEL, it was almost dark. This time round, we took a longer rest in the hotel... my girl might not need it but I certainly did!  After recharging around 80% of my body strength, we were ready to explore the streets again. Our hotel is really a strategic spot for us tourists.  The street vendors were all ready to boost their sales in front, at the side and along the whole stretch of street where we stayed.  Left, right, front... the place was filled with people and tourists like us... I could hear some of them speaking my dialect, we felt kind of at home instead of being tourists.... Besides the street vendors in front of the hotel, there was a night market just five minutes walking distance away from our hotel, Lee Garden Plaza.... Maybe they only opened during the weekends?  I am not sure about that.. .anyway, we were kind of excited to see all the bright lights along the street.... Come... Let's Go! We started from the beginning of the str
