Hong Kong Dim Sum Islander, Sacramento

DIM SUM RESTAURANTS IN SACRAMENTO OPENS AROUND 10.30AM TO 11AM, unlike in Ipoh, the restaurants open as early as 6am or earlier.. I don't really mind having late Dim Sum, at least they are still available by the time I wake up, unlike in Malaysia, if I go around 10am, most of the best choices are sold out by then.

In Ipoh, my sister must have Dim Sum at least once a week... but over here, this is our second time in two months!  How she yearned... and this time we went to a different restaurant called Hong Kong Islander... Been there once before two years ago and naturally, I forgotten how they taste like... Some varieties are the same as in Ipoh but of course, they taste different.  We love the Steamed Beef Balls and the Braised Beef Stripes... Ipoh does not have any beef dim sum as far as I know...
Some varieties we ordered.. besides the Salted Egg Dumplings which I left out...
Love this dish... not available in Ipoh as yet... 
The bill came to around $50 with tea...
Yes, we have to pay another 15% on tips..
Compulsory over here.. 
More than enough for four people and we packet some back... 
No wonder my sister does not want Ipoh Dim Sum...
She can easily obtain them here anytime!
We will definitely be back again...
Perhaps to try their Chinese Dinner Cuisine...

  1. $50 only, so so cheap!!! Wah! 15% service charge, usually one is expected to give voluntarily...10%.
