Nyonya Treats For Three At Taman Perling, Johor

EATING OUT FOR DINNER...

During our ten days stay, I only managed to cook two times.  :)  Most of our meals were taken outside and on this evening, we went for Nyonya food.  We were a bit late this time and had to wait for nearly 20 minutes to get a table.  Yeah, should have called to make a reservation, tables are very limited here cos it is just a shop lot.

By the time our dishes were served, it was almost 8pm, way over our normal dinner time.
Nyonya Treats is the name....
We were seated at the big table though there were only three of us...
The Kapitan Chicken....

Cincaluk omelette...
Steamed eggplants with sambal....
And the Ikan Garam so it is called...
Thought the fish would be salty... but it is not so...
Very fresh and the portion was too big for the three of us...
Nevertheless none was wasted...
Thought it was super spicy too but no, my tongue was "safe" from that....
With desserts and rice for the three of us, the bill came to around RM100 plus...
Went home feeling fully satisfied...
and we waited a couple more hours before we hit the pillows..
For digestion purposes... wonder if it helps...

  1. Ooooo...I super duper love nyonya, the spicier the better. The decor is kinda Chinese though.

  3. Look at those chilli on top of the fried fish. I would thought it was spicy too.

Nyonya cuisine is nice for a change.

  4. I like everything except the cincaluk omelette. The spicy ikan garam looks fiery spicy, but if taken with rice shouldn't be that spicy gua...
