Ramen And Rice Roundup In Osaka

JUST ON FOOD.... JAPANESE FOOD...

I told my friends that when I reach Malaysia, I will not take Japanese food for a long long time... LOL... Yes, almost each day it is Ramen and Rice, Ramen and Rice... with the same taste of soup.  I was yearning for some Chinese food by then.  LOL... But I must really compliment their rice texture, they are really fragrant and "chewy"... Even though I bought a packet of Japanese rice before in the mall back home, the texture is still different, not as nice as what I have tasted here in Japan itself.

Here are some food pictures I took during our three days stay in Osaka...
Ramen... Ramen...
Ramen.. Ramen....
Ramen ... Ramen....
Ramen.. Oh Ramen....
Ramen in dry style....
Hahh... for once Fried Chicken!!  Yes, this is a side order... a welcoming sight!
Very nice too!
The one in red is Tomato Ramen.... that is my order....
A meal for one person!
Ramen and Rice two in one....
On another day, we had this....
Yes, it comes with a bowl of rice....around 700-800 yen...
And this is curry egg rice....
This is mine... Shrimp with egg rice....
And on another day... the last night before we left, we went to Osaka Ohsho...
Heard there is a branch in Singapore too!
For me, it is fried rice... chewy fried rice...
Side orders.... Fried Dumplings
Claypot Japanese beancurd...
Rice wrapped with Egg.... nicely done!
And I love this... Unagi with Fried Rice...
For six persons, averagely one meal cost around 5000 yen... (RM200 plus minus)
That ends my Japan trip and all...
Next destination....

  2. I actually never got sick of eating ramen & curry rice everyday in Japan but not in China. Their Chinese food was often too oily, bland or fiery spicy!

A well traveled girl like you should be carting along our local stuffs. Each 10 day trips to China or Japan, my luggage would be full of White Coffee Sachets, Mee Kari Letup Cup Noodles, Pork Bak Kwa, Kim Chi Packets (fresh) and lots of chilly sauces in sachets & mini bottles. It gave me a good balance.

  5. I prefer the egg dishes in this post especially the egg shrimp. The portion looks a lot so did you finish all your food in Japan?

    1. I can finish a bowl of ramen but not a big bowl of rice... so I got to spade out half most of the time...

    2. Who ate the rice that you spaded out? Your travel mates?

  7. I know that feeling when visiting a place, so much of their food that one would not want to eat the same things for a long long time. Happens even over the Chinese New Year time, just two days, already craving for porridge and salted fish.
