Special Food At Grandma Kitchen, Bukit Indah

NEW PLACE IN BUKIT INDAH...

Andy took us to Grandma Kitchen, a new place in town and heard that the food is kind of special there.  Looking forward with anticipation and we allowed Andy to order our lunch.  Each dish he mentioned met with our YES approval... I want to try them all... whatever he ordered sounded so good....
We were early, it was before noon when we came in...
I heard that this restaurant is crowded each evening...
We ordered five dishes for the four of us...
Special Meehoon
What meat is that?  Something that croaks... oh oh.....
Cheesy meehoon with prawns...
Thought the smell of cheese would be strong but it was not...
Leeks with beancurd...
Steamed Fish Teochew style...
Yes, my favourite dish again....
Taro or yam paste...
Very appetizing if eaten with rice....
I would like to go again for other dishes...
They look so special in the menu....
And the bill came to around RM200?
Oh dear, I must ask Andy!

  4. This is called Grandma's Kitchen, but it sure doesn't look like it! It is fancy and beautiful, with an open kind of look. SO, did you eat the frogs??? Were they good?

  5. I think the crab dish cost the most. RM200 for 5 dishes...hmmm...kinda expensive for me. :D Still as long as you are happy dining with your family it is worth it. :)

  6. You like the claypot yam like that? There's one place doing it like that here - first time I had it, the bubbling yam paste reminded me of the mud pools in Rotorua. :D
