Pizza Fresh From The Oven

PIZZA NIGHT... we had our homemade pizza fresh from the oven.  No really homemade, I have to confess.  I bought the pizza pastry from Jaya Jusco, a box with two pieces inside plus a packet of tomato sauce.  But I did not use the paste provided, I used my own bottle of Prego sauce.  The size portion of the pastry is in-between Small and Regular so we need two pieces to feed four grown ups.

As for the fillings, I diced one yellow and red pepper, two big onions, a packet of chicken ham, three cilipadi for some ompph... and a can of pineapple as a side dish.  So simple actually, just spread Prego sauce on the pastry and dumped everything on top, last to go is the mozzarella cheese.  Baked them for 20 minutes and they were good to go!
Our pizza, full to the brim!
Greedy us!
One spicy and one is not....
Into the oven they went....
I rotated them after 15 minutes or so...
Next time I should put one by one...
So that the top and bottom is evenly cooked....
After 20 minutes....
See what I mean?  Not so evenly cooked on top....
Still got room for improvement...
Less ingredients next time...
Our quarters for one pizza....
Layers and layers of fillings!
Crispy at the side....
Best eaten with the sweetened pineapples!

  3. One day I was at a traditional pizza shop in overseas and happened to watch the Mario Man preparing the pizza using his charcoal kiln as oven. He did something different that prompted me to guess his secret method to make the pastry so crispy & nice. He actually baked the plain empty pastry dough inside the oven quite briefly before taking it out. After filling up with the ingredients and cheese, he popped it back to the oven. No wonder so garing and nice. Try it.

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Phil's Fish Market And Eatery, Moss Landing

DAY TRIP TO MOSS LANDING...  I did not know what to expect since I had not been there before.  We took an hour plus drive to this seafood place, it is an open air restaurant whereby you can dine by the sea or inside.  We chose the latter, since it was quite windy in the open air.  With a baby kid, it is best to have some warmth inside the restaurant. Yes, there was already a queue by the time we reached there, it was actually between lunch and dinner and yet, patrons were ready to have their meal.  Though the queue looked long, we could get a place within 10 minutes or so.   Almost the same picture but someone was looking at me when I took these...  Almost reaching the finishing line to enter ... Clam Chowder to start off...  Cioppino... A combination of seafood... Mussels, prawns, crabs, clams...  Eat what the fishermen eat... Dip the bread in the sauce... Yes, I like this... Fried chicken chunks...  And I still prefer the Cioppino compared to this....  Baby enjoying his own food befo
