Dinner For Three At Sun Hung Ting, Ipoh

FRIDAY'S DINNER.... We had booked a reservation at Kim Wah Restaurant, upon reaching, we noticed that the restaurant was full to the brim.  Most of the customers were still waiting for food to be served.  Since no one was at the door to usher us to our table, we left.  If we still hang around, I guess it would be after 8pm to get served.  We adjourned to another restaurant nearby called Sun Hung Ting.  We were being ushered almost immediately upon entering and food was served within 25 minutes....

Recommended by the "captain"....
Beancurd with pumpkin sauce and crab meat...
My son likes to eat brinjals/egg plants and she recommended it to be cooked this way...
Fried with salted egg....
Sweet and spicy prawns... with 6 steamed mantous... RM20
There were 7 prawns in the dish for the 3 of us....
Sliced fish in chinese wine...
For the 4 dishes with rice, the bill came to RM76...
Nothing to shout about but for a family meal, it is quite reasonable...

  1. Gosh!!! The colours of the lights at that place is bad fro your photos. These days, if I see a lot of people at a place, I would just go elsewhere. #staysafe #staywell
Nothing to shout about? I thought the dishes look good and RM76 is reasonable - got prawns wor!!!

  2. So, the retaraunts there are busy! Here, none are busy. And most are closed inside, and you can only drive up for takeout. Many have gone out of business. The covid Virus continues to get worse and worse.

  7. Mantous with sweet and spicy prawns sound so tempting. Just like chili crabs with mantous.
