Thank You Gracious Seafood

FISHY FISHY... I thought I won't be cooking any more fish dishes for some time but I think I have to change my mind....

For the last few days, I have been watching Gracious Seafood putting up LIVE video on Facebook.  Though I do not want to buy anymore fish, I still watch their live sales.... Mainly because I cannot go mall shopping, Fish Window Shopping also I don't mind!  LOL..... Anything to do with shopping, I am IN.  LOL...

Another reason I watched yesterday was that my sister-in-law asked me to buy some fish for her.  That made the Live video selling fish more interesting for me... hahahaa...  I ended up buying three types of fish for her and one packet of frozen scallops costing around RM53.  And for those who buys, there is a lucky draw at the end of the fish sales.

Coming back to the topic of the post, YES, my name Reanaclaire was called out during the lucky draw!  LOL...
This is how I did my fish shopping for my sister-in-law....
I take picture and sent it to her....
Then she would tell me YES...
That means she wanted that....
No to the Salmon...
Yes to the Red Snapper....
Yes to the scallops as well....
No to Sotong....
No to Lamb Shoulder....
I was quite interested...
But not sure how to cook it...
Maybe next round...
And this is my winning streak....
My name came out from the lucky dip...
Reanaclaire....
Yay!!
Thank you Gracious for the Lucky Fishes....
I guess I have to distribute part of the loot out....
LOL....

  1. Congrats!!! Lucky you!
Fish is good, can eat it more often than meat. Omega 3!
Lamb shoulder is easy to cook, just grill in a non-stick pan...but some people may not like the smell and sometimes, it can be quite strong. Some are all right, not too bad.

What an interesting way to shop for fish! If only we had something like this here.

  2. Maybe your sister in law knows that you like online shopping so ask you to buy fish for her in live sale. All the fish are frozen, right? Congrats for winning the lucky draw. Shows that you are a lucky person indeed. What did you win?

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Phil's Fish Market And Eatery, Moss Landing

DAY TRIP TO MOSS LANDING...  I did not know what to expect since I had not been there before.  We took an hour plus drive to this seafood place, it is an open air restaurant whereby you can dine by the sea or inside.  We chose the latter, since it was quite windy in the open air.  With a baby kid, it is best to have some warmth inside the restaurant. Yes, there was already a queue by the time we reached there, it was actually between lunch and dinner and yet, patrons were ready to have their meal.  Though the queue looked long, we could get a place within 10 minutes or so.   Almost the same picture but someone was looking at me when I took these...  Almost reaching the finishing line to enter ... Clam Chowder to start off...  Cioppino... A combination of seafood... Mussels, prawns, crabs, clams...  Eat what the fishermen eat... Dip the bread in the sauce... Yes, I like this... Fried chicken chunks...  And I still prefer the Cioppino compared to this....  Baby enjoying his own food befo
