Korean Costume In The Making

After the Kim-Chi making session, we were ushered to a small hut where we could play around with the Korean costumes....

I looked really awful in one.. hahaha.. I don't want to "murder" the costume so I better not display mine over here..

Kim Chi Factory In Incheon

Finally we reached our destination.... a Ginseng Farm to experience the production of ginseng milk and our first Kim-Chi making session.

Actually I don't really like to eat kim-chi... I prefer pickled papaya or cucumber anytime.. hahaha.. Let me tell you ah... after the earlier breakfast, each meal is a MUST have kim-chi...

Here was what we did .... I can say we did a marvelous job on the KIM-CHI... hahahaha...

On The Highway

For the past one week in Korea, we were always on the highway, the bus were always taking us from one place to another. We were amazed by their highway roads, they were quite safe actually, few lanes on one side to accommodate the vehicles. My son Andy was observing the cars, he noticed that they were mostly new cars, I mean there wasn't any old junk cars in sight. It was a good move by the government, the prices of cars are not actually expensive, with all the new cars on the road, one may not often see any roadside assistance along the highway.

INCHEON KOREA, Here We Come...

SO SO TERRIFYING!!

For the past 10 hours or so, my blog has been missing from blogger.com. It happened when I was blog hopping and all of a sudden, a white screen appeared......... everything else POOFED!!!

Quickly I SOS my dear IT son, Andy... and steadily he told me not to worry... he will get it back... and just now at 11.30pm.........he said my blogs are back here in IPOH!!!

Andy, thank you very much... tomorrow whatever you want to eat... ALL ON ME!!!

Thank God.... I cannot imagine my blogs disappeared like that without saying bye to me... I didn't even back up my blogs... so my dear friends, make an effort, back up your files... just in case anything can happen.....

OK, enough of the disappearing blog.... here are some pictures of our first day in Korea...

in a matter of 6 hours, we reached Incheon airport...

next morning we were taken for breakfast at 8am...

after traveling for some time, we were taken to a resthouse
for some "nature call"

and for the first time in HISTORY...

we touched real SNOW!!

we were like real "kampung" people...

having fun frolicking with the snow..

after awhile we were ushered back to the bus
where we were taken to the KIMCHI factory.....

I AM BACK ......... but need to be "overhauled."

Half Day In Penang

Around 11am... AA, Fernie and I were on our way to Penang again.... last week, this week, one may think we were Penangnites...

No, this time is not for leisure... we went to pick Andy back from college... he finished his last paper at 1pm and now he is back for his one month long holiday.... a lot of stuff to pack up.....

Well, the house is full of noise again....

But unfortunately the noise is not about joy...............

Half way to Penang, I received a call from my sister-in-law that her mother (my MIL) passed away in hospital.... Actually we were there in the hospital at 9am to visit her this morning.... Before we left, I told my MIL to wait for us to come back but........

Yes, tonight was another food feast... today is my childhood cum classmate's birthday... we are best of friends since 13 years old ... as the saying goes, friendship is like wine, the older they are, the better "taste" it becomes.... ham mai ah?
