Cheaper Accommodation In Johor

My kids and I are still discussing where we should go for this coming Christmas holidays.  We have only two choices actually, it is either going to Singapore or Penang to celebrate this festive season.  If we go to Penang, my son who is working in Singapore will have to a flight to meet us.  On the other hand,  if we choose to go Singapore, my two kids and I will have to take a drive down to Johor and from there, we will take a bus over to Singapore.  We are still contemplating which is a better choice and more affordable.  The air tickets from Singapore to Penang can be quite pricey during this festive season so most probably we will end up driving to Johor.
This time round, we might not be staying in Singapore because the hotels are getting more and more expensive!  Last month I spent quite a fortune just paying the hotel rates for three nights and it was not even a festive season yet.  I cannot imagine how much the hotel rates will cost during this coming Christmas!  We have been thinking that it would be a better idea to put up a few nights in Johor instead of staying in Singapore.  All we got to do is to log in to Find Cheap Johor Hotels deals here in this website.  There are so many hotels to choose from, prices ranging from only RM65!  But of course, luxury hotels will be much higher but whatever it is, they will be much more affordable than staying in Singapore!  LOL…
Well, we will definitely bookmark this website for our coming trip.  I heard that there will  be lots of sales in this Johor Premium Outlets and my kids are also looking forward to visiting Legoland at the same time!

  1. Definitely cheaper...but crossing the Causeway. That used to be such a hassle. Is it better, more smooth-flowing now?

  2. Come to my house! My parents there too!

  3. stp: now better.. easier to go over either by taxi or bus...

chris: i know.. coming back soon and going again on 23rd!

  4. Oh..i use this site before to find my apartment in penang previously. I'm going to Sg too with my family this christmas and legoland is part of our plan :)

  5. well good thing you're now having plans coz in my case nothing comesup on my mind yet

An Evening Dinner At Chef Chew Kitchen, Petaling Jaya

BACK TO SG. BULOH for a couple of days.... Come evening, we went for dinner at Chef Chew Kitchen in Seksyen 19, Petaling Jaya.  Since it was my first time there, I did not know what to expect except to sit back, relax and eat.  LOL... It is a one shop lot restaurant so tables are very limited.  Reservation was made at 6pm to be on the safe side, to avoid crowds and waiting for food was very minimized at this time of the day.  For the seven of us, these dishes were served on the table... Thumbs up even before the dinner...  And soon these are served...  Claypot braised ribs...  Their signature dish... Fish Maw...  First time eating fish maw which is whitish in colour...  Black Beancurd with Pumpkin sauce... Hey, this restaurant indeed serves new to me! This must be Sweet Sauce Chicken... For the American... Cos we Asians like Steamed Chicken like this!  LOL...  And the star dish of the dinner is this...  Freshly steamed and succulent prawns

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...  Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch

Night Market Along Lee Garden Plaza Hotel, Hatyai

BY THE TIME WE REACHED THE HOTEL, it was almost dark. This time round, we took a longer rest in the hotel... my girl might not need it but I certainly did!  After recharging around 80% of my body strength, we were ready to explore the streets again. Our hotel is really a strategic spot for us tourists.  The street vendors were all ready to boost their sales in front, at the side and along the whole stretch of street where we stayed.  Left, right, front... the place was filled with people and tourists like us... I could hear some of them speaking my dialect, we felt kind of at home instead of being tourists.... Besides the street vendors in front of the hotel, there was a night market just five minutes walking distance away from our hotel, Lee Garden Plaza.... Maybe they only opened during the weekends?  I am not sure about that.. .anyway, we were kind of excited to see all the bright lights along the street.... Come... Let's Go! We started from the beginning of the str
