Appetizing Fish Noodles In First Garden, Ipoh

Some nice food taken in First Garden... the coffeeshop is called Kwong Chow, if not mistaken. The man who is manning the stall is very friendly and once awhile we like to go there for our fish head noodles.  But this time we did not want the fish head, it takes too much time to eat so we opted for the fish "body" instead.... and of course, have to pay more....
One bowl cost RM8 but it is worth it....
Cos it can last me through dinner!
With the salted vegetables and tomatoes, I could finish the whole big bowl without difficulty...
Meanwhile we ordered a plate of Nasi Kunyit that goes with a bowl of curry chicken...
While waiting for the fish head nooldes, this is what we normally do....
Take some side dishes first...
That is why.. one meal is equivalent to two...  :)

  1. Ahhh!!!...that is my favourite, fish head noodles. The curry looks oily and spicy but the fish head noodles is great.

  2. oh I always go for the fish "body" instead of the fish head.. I just prefer chunky meats than having to "explore" for meats from the bones, hahahaha!! hmmm that one is a nice bowl of noodles, but RM8 a bowl, cannot eat too often also~~ :p

    1. Yeah, nowadays very scared of fish bones stuck in throat.... so safer to go for the body.. :)

  3. I also prefer the fish body than the head. RM8 is worth it if you get nice fish body to eat. Haha, can understand why 1 meal = 2 meals. The nasi kunyit should be quite filling.

  5. Nasi kunyit!!! I like!!! They use pulut or not? Had that once in KL, using pulut one - very nice. We just cook that with ordinary long grain rice all the time. The curry is very oily - don't take too often.

Ooooo...the fish!!! So big. I miss this lah - ours here, the stall closed down already. :(

  6. Oh, it's normal to order other dishes first while waiting for our food, haha.. Yesterday we were having dinner in Sakae Sushi, the order took so long to come, we ended up having more sushi from the conveyor coz that one no need to wait.. Guess it's their "tactic", kaka.. I love fish head mihun, but I usually have fish paste mihun if I eat outside, easier to eat, and not so messy ma.. But if tapau-ed back, then I will ask for fish head bihun..

  11. That bowl of fish head noodles look so appetizing. Love the fish being deep fried. Sometimes, hubby opt for fish slices and the taste is totally different. Not so tasty though.
