Big Family Restaurant In Taman Industri Sg. Buloh

Here we are again in Big Family Restaurant at Taman Industri Sungai Buloh!
This place has become one of my food haunts whenever I go down south.  It is not everyday that I get to eat such fresh Seabass noodles, in fact, I do not know any other place in Ipoh selling something like this. The only place I have been in Ipoh is the Lucky Restaurant in Pasir Puteh but I doubt they have this type of noodles cooked like what I have here in this food court restaurant.
The Red and the Black Fish...
So fresh... just look at the fangs....
(Now only I notice)
Reminds me of Piranha!
And this is my bowl of koay teow noodles with the "Fish Yu Nam"  RM22
Some fishballs to accompany the bowl of noodles...
Thick skinned fish... lots of collagen...
This bowl of fish goes very well with their superhot chilli padi!
One bite on the chilli, the tongue is more or less "shocked-ed"
Get what I mean?
hahahaaaa...
For fish lovers, this is the place not to be missed....

    3. I like this kind of cooking, enhancing the natural taste rather than the less healthy option of frying or putting too much taste "enhancers"

  4. Fishballs for me, pls. Fish looks good too but the colour of it puts me off.

    1. Natural colours.. red fish and black fish... the red is of softer flesh whereas the black one is more springy...

  5. Fishballs for me too, like the few comments above me, but not bcz of the color, but bcz I am a lazy man. I hate anything that has bones and needs careful picking. The only fish that I like is dory fish fillet.
Btw, you determine the freshness of the fish by looking at the fangs? How? The color?

    1. Freshness by the flesh and not smelly when eaten... but when you buy fish, look for the fish eyes and the gills.. hahaha...

  6. How much is the bowl of red and black fish? One weekend I must go to this place to eat although it is far from the usual places that I frequent. Temptations, temptations.

  17. No wonder my eye brows itched!!! That's where my office factory is located! I always got surprises from bloggers who posted about food around Sg Buloh which I was unaware! Normally my lunch hour is only 1 hour, so I am confined to nearby eateries only. I salute the way you dart across the country to eat and enjoy life! Good!

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...
Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch here in …

Caring And Sharing At Limestone, Regal Lodge, Ipoh

IMPROMPTU GATHERING.... Nothing was planned beforehand, it was only at the last minute that we received call to have lunch at Limestone Cafe, inside Regal Lodge.  It was my first time there to have set lunch.  The menu prices were reasonable, around RM15.90 for the main dish, RM3 for a bowl of soup and RM2 for ice cream.  Other than that, coffee, tea and soft drinks are free.
We were there not so much for the food but for the ambiance... we practically had the whole cafe to ourselves during that lunch hour.  Only one or two tables were occupied and we spent more than two hours there since it was a Friday long hour lunch for my working colleagues.  After a few months absence from me, it was wonderful to catch up with my ex-colleagues again!
I was super hungry by lunch time and I felt like eating almost anything in the menu. We ended up ordering one main dish each and then sharing them with one another so that we could taste a bit of this and that.....
I felt like eating Aglio Oli…

Famous Wanton Mee At New Hoong Kee, Bandar Sri Damansara

BREAKFAST FEAST..  Best meal of the day is always my first meal because I know I am able to tuck in as much as my stomach can accept.  I eat a lot in the mornings and then slowly dwindle by the end of the day.  As the saying goes, eat like a king in the morning and like a pauper in the evenings.  This is what I normally do nowadays, not because I wanted to, but it is my own body system that tune me this way.  Though I deny I am old but the body says otherwise... LOL...

On this morning, we went to New Hoong Kee in Bandar Sri Damansara, my sibling said this is currently his favourite place.  And after trying, I know why.... the food we ordered, all turned out good and tasty, even the curry reminded me of my good old days!
Managed to catch the name otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell this story now...  My type of curry... I can go without the chicken... Just the other ingredients will do fine for me.. I like the way they cook this curry... Heard the BBQ pork is tasty too... melt in …
