One of my nephews is interested in taking up a Chiropractic course when the results of his O levels comes out in a couple of months. What actually is chiropractic? According to the information I gather here in the Internet, the term Chiropractic is a form of complementary and alternative treatment to prevent disorders of neuromusculoskeletal system in our body. The one who perform manual treatment and practice is called a Chiropractor and they normally practice manual therapy on the manipulation of the spine.
Another source I read is from the Stockton chiropratic, Dr. Christopher Schlenger who uses his years of experience and training to help relieve low back pain, neck pain and other bodily spine and nervous system. Before the treatment, Dr. Schlenger will make some assessment on our current physical condition, providing necessary spinal adjustments, supportive therapies, some education on the way we exercise, nutrition and stress management. Well, this is interesting, I have often complained of backaches here and there and now I know what I need - A Chiropractor!

First Time To Maxim Dim Sum At Sungai Dua, Penang
Third morning in Penang...
By now Andy is quite familiar with the island already, well, at least with some places of good food. After staying here for few years now, he knows at least 30% on how to go about ... hahaha....(have I mentioned he is poor in directions? Like mother, like son!)
Back to our 3rd morning or should I say 11am brunch time, he led us to Maxim Dim Sum in Sungai Dua...

Back to our 3rd morning or should I say 11am brunch time, he led us to Maxim Dim Sum in Sungai Dua...
First time in history...
my son recommended dim sum shop to us...
it was quite crowded...but we managed to find a side table....
the shop is quite big... maybe two shops made into one...
Advertising for Tooth Paste Teeth before food....
Which picture is more qualifying for Tooth Paste Advertisement?
hahahaha...
oopps...why am I like WIB? or MIB?
(Woman in Black)
Our initial orders...
Adding some extras after few minutes....
And that's not all...
There were more to that...no time to take pictures...
Our chopsticks were too busy... LOL...
And the best thing is.....
The bill only came to RM49 something!
So cheap that we came again the next morning to try other varieties...
How was the Dim Sum?
Well, we sure want to come again...
No doubt about that! :)

Strolling Along The Straits Quay
After the "heavy" meal, we took a stroll to ease digestion... we thought of going for our desserts in Delicious but we changed out mind last minute and landed ourselves near the Penang Free School... we were just too full to take in cakes and crepes... if only my stomach is more "elastic!" LOL...
Along the berth in Straits Quay...there was a Live Band crooning some love songs..
walking to see "my yacht" ... hahaha...
Guess which one is mine... hahahaha...
Unfortunately none of them belong to me....
only the owners are allowed to go down to these yachts....
At the entrance of Straits Quay....
Wonder when we will be here again...
Most probably will be after Chinese New Year...
Now thinking of the Delicious Cafe Desserts!!

Our Visit to Weissbrau German Cuisine In Straits Quay, Penang
Second night in Penang...
Feeling disappointed with our lunch as written in this post, we were looking forward to having a nice dinner in Straits Quay, Tanjung Tokong. This time we wanted to try German food and we heard some positive comments about Weissbrau, a bistro and bar that serves their specialties such as pork knuckle, sausages, pizzas, roesti etc etc....

Ok, so here we are.... with an added member...
(the new face is my nearly-to-be Godson)
"My best friend"..my son teased...
and "Godson" answered.. "Not any more...."
*loud laughter*
There was some Japanese performance when we reached Straits Quay...
When it ended, it was time for our dinner....
So what did we have?
German Sausages with Roesti... (hope I am right!)
I think we ordered two plates of the same sausages but different sidekicks..
Andy's meal.... German burger.. LOL...
He commented that the Pattie is really good...juicy!!
My girl's choice...
another type of German sausages with garlic or something like that..
And Yours Truly ordered German Pork Knuckle...
My first time tasting it after hearing so much hoo-haaa.....
How's the taste?
Well, the meat was done up very well... not too dry nor was uncooked...
And the taste reminded me of a Hakka dish my MIL used to cook during CNY
With the spices, the meat was fried till crispy...
Last and not least, we ordered their German Pizza...
Very nice... I wouldn't mind having this again next time...
(Notice that everything to me is German... LOl.. )
After the dinner, we strolled around the area once again... and again...
and before we left, a picture to remember by....

B-Suite Hotel In Penang
We stayed three nights in B-Suite near Queensbay, this hotel is convenient to us in certain ways. The hotel rates are pretty cheap too, only RM135 for a very spacious room, as I said before, it can accommodate ten people if all were to sleep on the floor.. LOL..
Very nice, right?
Though the beds are a bit small for the 4 of us.. .somehow, we can "squeeze" in... LOL..
From the window...
Overlooking high rise apartments and terrace houses...
While waiting for Andy to fetch Aaron from the airport,
my girl and I getting ready for dinner.....
Here we are...
Standing tall.. hahahaa...

From B-suite Hotel, we drove to Georgetown... Penang Road..
After a few turns here and there, we reached our destination....
Looks familiar?
Yes, we were in Penang Road...
we ordered the Cendol Ice from the shop...
while drinking, we realized that some other patrons have cendol in blue bowls...
Anyone knows which is the original?
The blue bowl or the orange bowl?
Anyway, Aaron walloped nearly two bowls of that... :)
The rest of the meal...
No comments....
Even the laksa is different from the last time I had...
Well, I guess we will have to find another non-tourist place next time...
Any suggestions?

Family Gathering In Penang Times Square
To ease digestion after the heavy buffet dinner, we had a stroll around the Berjaya Square... since this is the first time visiting this complex, we walked around the outside of the complex and as usual, my camera will start clicking...
At the lobby of Berjaya Times Square...
Most shops were closed by then...

Birch Road was named after E.W. Birch, the Resident of
Perak in 1905,
and son to J.W.W. Birch, the first Resident of Perak who
was murdered in Pasir Salak.
E.W. Birch was popular for his role in getting tin ore from Perak smelted in Penang.
It was also he who initiated the Birch Memorial in memory of his father.
