Wheeling From Paris To Brussels, Belgium

WE STAYED TWO NIGHTS IN PARIS, it was good enough and the next day after a good night's rest, we took our own sweet time to pack up... Took a cab to the train station and I like Aaron's arrangement of the time schedule.  Our departures from each country are at noon, so that we do not have to stress and get up too early in the morning...

Left for Brussels, Belgium and reached there in less than two hours, to my surprise... if not for this trip, I wouldn't know these two countries are actually quite near to each other...  Again, Aaron arranged for a B and B lodging and this time, the lady was waiting for us at the train station.  Then we followed her and I thought we were going to the car park... But no, I was wrong, our lodging is just five minutes walk from the train station!  Very convenient.... YES!

And I like it here.. the apartment was bigger and neater than the Paris one...
But bigger also means I have to hop more actually.....
One bedroom to accommodate me and my friend...
Aaron has to sleep on the sofa bed in the living hall...
The clean kitchen... we cooked only one meal here...
 The bathroom with separate toilet...
Have to hop a bit further to the loo...
The scenery from our highest 7th floor apartment...
Looks kind of quiet on a Saturday afternoon....
After dumping all our bags, we walked back to the train station to have our lunch....
The train station is like a shopping mall...
We settle for something Italian....
Their pizzas are totally different from ours....
Just look at their cheesy fillings!!
Every piece looks good for Aaron!
As for me, I settle for roasted chicken anytime!
And of course.... a glass of chocolate mousse to complete the meal.....
I normally do not ask exactly how much our meal cost...
They are normally 20 Euro more or less...
One cannot afford to be picky...
All I do is to sit and wait...

Glimmering Eiffel Tower At Dusk

IT WAS ALMOST DUSK WHEN WE ESCALATED DOWN FROM EIFFEL TOWER.... Managed to capture a few more pictures before it grew dark.  The queue was still long when we reached the ground... it had been a long day and after taking some final pictures of the tower, we decided to call it a day.  We took a cab back to our homestay and rested our weary feet....

My friend captured this picture on a higher level.....
This was before it grew dark....
From our eye level when we reached the ground....
Glimmering before our very eyes....
One more picture before we left the scene.....
Don't know when we would be coming back this way again....
And if I do, it would be certainly Without Wheels! :)

Macarons On Eiffel Tower, Paris

THE CHILLING WIND ON TOP OF THE EIFFEL TOWER CONTINUED... I was kind of shivering, maybe more so because I was in the sitting position for too long.  If I could only walk, it might not be too cold for me... Aaron quickly pushed me back to the closed area, away from the cold weather and I was indeed more comfortable inside closed doors....
And furthermore, something beautiful caught my eyes....
PARIS!
Made of Macarons...
Hey, I love these!!
Can buy some for me??
See... so many flavours... which to choose???
I let my friend decide!
She ended up buying one from each flavour... Love her so!!
READY.. GO!
Yes, we tried them all... eight flavors....
One macaroon to be shared by three...
Expensive ma... so got to share...
hahahaaa...

UP And UP On Eiffel Tower, Paris

FINALLY, WE REACHED EIFFEL TOWER AFTER THE LONG WALK.....

Our determination...
More from Aaron and my friend... their hard efforts paid off....
Took a few pictures before we crossed over to feel the "real thing"....

Then when we saw the super long queue at the Eiffel Tower, Aaron and my friend were quite disappointed... Not me though, that means we couldn't go up, right?  Both of them wanted so badly to go up the tower whereas I rather stay down and look up instead..... *height phobia*... Well, actually I have mixed feelings....
Part of the Long Queue from one end to the other.....
Someone looks happy though...
Thought we didn't have to go up....

I told them to go ahead, I would wait for them to come down but the Super Long queue was holding them back.... then they saw a sign... "For disabled/prams, line up here" and the queue was empty!!  Oh...oh.... that means.....
Yes, that means.... I have to come up!!
All the way up... I CLOSED MY EYES and told them to block the view when it was moving...

For those on wheelchair, the ticket cost 4 Euros and that goes for the companion as well..
Normal ticket cost 11 Euros... we saved a fair bit here again!!
So I sacrificed my FEAR for them.. after all, they have done a lot for me...
hahahaha....
Anyway, so glad I did come up....
Not so scary actually... I only created my own fear!
Everyone is happy!
Scenery was breathtaking.... too bad our cameras didn't give much credit....
The scenes before sunset....
I couldn't see much of the view sitting down.... so....

I need to stand up for a short while.... to show my presence....
hahahaa....
We took a lot of pictures before and after sunset....
It is really a Great Privilege to be up on Eiffel Tower...
I never thought it would become a reality for me....
Thank you!!

Wheeling Through From Tuileries Garden To The Trocadero

FROM THE LOUVRE MUSEUM, we walked to the Eiffel Tower... Yes, it was a long walk for us especially so when my son has to wheeled me all the way through the park called Tuileries Garden... This gives him a reason to replenish the food intake almost double as what I normally eat... hahaha...
Yes, my pictures are splashed all over my blog...
Took a lot of pictures cos most of the time I am in this sitting position...
Cannot do much except to pose V sign, Good sign and this sign...
Have to bear with me... hahahaa...
If not mistaken it was a 4km walk from the museum to the Eiffel Towers....
So on the way, we stopped and posed....
Beautiful feathered creatures relaxing on the waters....
Time for feeding....
And a time to say Good!
Triple Good...

Halfway through, we sat and also enjoyed the cooling weather and watched people passing by....
How I wish I could just lie down here and close my eyes.... sleep!
But no, we got to strive on...
Nearing the main road...
...... And after the longest walk we had ever done.... we finally reached....
The Trocadero, situated on the opposite side of the Seine from the Eiffel Tower...
Before crossing over to the Eiffel Towers, we took some pictures here....
This sweet lady joined me out of the blue....
Yes, it is good to be here...
We finally accomplished our 4km walk!
