Layover Night At Ruby's Inn, Bryce Canyon City

IT WAS A WELCOMING SIGHT...

From Zion National Park, our guide drove another two hours journey to Ruby's Inn to stay over one night before continuing on our journey to Bryce Canyon the next morning.  My sister did her homework, the lodge was really a good choice to stay over.  The room was spacious with two double queen size bed, accommodating the four of us.  Only one setback though, we have to wait for quite awhile to use the bathroom cum toilet.  LOL....

The weather was super cold by then, I had to wear at least three layers plus a warm scarf round my neck.  Another point for Ruby's Inn... they have a really warm and scrumptious dinner for the guests, it was kind of buffet style, not many choices but the food was really good, more like home cooking and not those commercialized ones like the hotels.  I forgot how much they charged, more like $25 or $30 max.  It was really worth the money!

Forgot what type of soup but I remember having the second round on each...

Followed by main meal.... fish, pork ribs and chicken... vege....

Desserts is homemade walnut cakes and ice cream!

A Fall At Zion National Park

And when I looked back at these pics, let me disclose something which might be embarrassing...   The red pants I was wearing, I wore them to sleep the night before.  LOL   Since it was so cold in the night and early morning, why want to change.. might as well wear it again to warm my legs!  And so I did ....

Our trip in Zion was cut short... oh yeah...

My sister accidentally tripped over a tree stump...

Fell down flat...

But Thank God no serious injuries...

She was alright except for some scratches...

Maybe the thick sweater cushioned the fall...

After that, we have to look where we were going 

instead of looking up to the mountains most of the time...

 

Zion National Park, Here We Come

THE NEXT MORNING, we checked out from Tahiti Resort and made our way to the mountains.... our loyal and patient "driver" drove all the way taking us three ladies to Zion National Park.  Stopped half way to fill our tummies, I could not remember the name of this hotel cum casino.  Normally the breakfast in these places with casinos come in very cheap, much cheaper than those without casinos.  No need to wonder why....  LOL.... 

Our heavy breakfast....can last us ladies for many hours.... 

Parked the car at the entrance and the rest of the excursion was on a shuttle bus which took us from one area to another, so we kind of just hopped in and hopped out.  Though the weather was sunny, it was kind of super cold.  There were certain areas whereby hiking was allowed, and there were some parts which have to be guided by an experienced tour guide.  Heard of some falling off the cliff if not careful.... I am not the adventurous type, unlike my friend who is ON for every climb with risks.  If we could have time, I think she would end up following all the chilling climbs she could get.... unfortunately with me, she only ended up following us the non-risks hikes!  LOL.... 

Along The Las Vegas Strip And Thai Food

WALKING AND WALKING DOWN THE STRIP... 

From Tahiti resort, we took a shuttle bus to the Strip where we spent a few hours walking in and out of some hotels.  Las Vegas has lots of hotels and the the ones along the strip are the ones which attract a lot of tourists like us.  My friend was in awe, taking pictures from left to right, as we walked along and she was one springy "chicken" but not me and my sister anymore.  We were dead tired after a couple of hours...LOL... 

 Met up with my sister's friend who is residing in LV and we had a good lunch at a Thai restaurant.  After the meal, we went back to the resort to rest.  But my friend, who is ever active, decided to go to the strip again in the evening.... but no, not me and my sister, we need our beauty rest... LOL... so my friend took the shuttle bus to town alone and we kept on tagging and reminding her to come back before 10.30pm cos that was the last trip, if she misses the bus, she has to pay a hefty fee to reach the resort. LOL... No worries, she came back on time... anyway, even if she misses, we would have send out our "driver" to pick her up.  LOL...

Lucille's At Red Rock

AFTER A DAY OF REST, we were supposed to go to Red Rocks for some hiking.  Unfortunately we did not manage to go into the National Park, we had to turn back cos we did not register online for permit.  Due to the covid pandemic crisis, the authorities were still monitoring the number of tourists for the day.  

As for me I was not disappointed since I have been there few times before, but too bad for my friend... anyway, we made it up for her by having a good lunch at the Red Rock casino instead... LOL...

Lost And Found For Now

AM I BACK TO BLOGGING AGAIN FOR GOOD?  

I couldn't trust myself to answer my own question .... however at this moment of time, I am in the mood of putting up a post ........sooooo..... ta daa..... here I AM!

Lots of happenings during these few months, good times, bad times... I thank God daily for allowing me to live each day with Him by my side.  And I hope that you, my readers are doing well and good too.  I have been blogging faithfully since January 2008 and it has been more than15 years now.  Blogging is very "trendy" during that time.... and now blogging is somehow "overshadowed" by this so-called Vlog, video blog... tik tok.... and what else... I'm afraid I am not up-to-date to what's new.... Either I have to start learning if I want to follow the latest or I do what I am doing now... Blogging!  It sounds kind of "dinosaur" when I mention that... LOL....

Back to my current post, I want to thank my sister and hubby for arranging our trip, from one city to another.  Really appreciate what they have done for us, (my classmate and I).... 

Las Vegas.... we stayed at Tahiti resort as usual.  While my brother-in-law stayed in to rest after the long hours of driving, we ladies were always full of battery when it comes to shopping!  The premium outlets are just opposite our resort, just 200 meters away so how could we resist???
