Brunch At Bagan Kopitiam, Perling, Johor

IN JOHOR back to our little nest, we have two meals per day only.  No point waking up early to catch breakfast, we went for brunch instead.  There are many stalls and eatery shops near our place and sometimes we could not make up our mind where to go.

As usual, I will have a craving for the "Pinch Pan Mee" in a shop here at Bagan, Perling.  Unfortunately it was closed on the day we went.  I opted for the next stall selling seafood noodles and decided to try it out.  My son settled for Kolo Noodles at another stall.  Prices are reasonable at the shop called Bagan Kopitiam ... formerly known as Hou in Perling.  I like that shop cos there are more than ten stalls inside and most of the food are not bad....
These went into my stomach first while waiting for the food to be served...

My order.. a mixture of this and that...
Cost around RM6-8... cannot remember exactly how much...
My son's Big Bowl of noodles...
I surely cannot finish them all... but I did try a spoonful of it...
Tasty too!
How much?  Maybe around RM5-6?
I told my son that we must come back again the next morning for my Pan Mee...
And we really did..
But this time the whole shop was closed for the day!
Aiyah..
Really not meant for me to eat...

On The Roads To Pan Heong, Batu Caves

TIME ROCKETS IN IPOH....

Few days passed very fast and before we knew it, we have to hit the roads again... back to Johor to our little nest.  Time to move on and we started our journey around 10am, filled up the car to the brim with luggage and mostly occupied with food stuff including Ipoh pomeloes!

It was a long journey back to Johor and on the way, we stopped at Pan Heong, Batu Caves for our lunch.  As expected, the crowd was there as usual for we reached at the most peak hour at noon.  But their number system is fair, first come first serve... within 10 minutes we have our table and seats ready for us.  We had a simple lunch, just four dishes and we thought they were not enough.  We ordered a plate of noodles at the last minute but it ended up being "packeted" for we were really full by then.  No waste, the packet of noodles was for our dinner when we reached Johor around evening by then.
On the highway... no heavy traffic, fine weather too..
Both of them took turns to drive the six hours journey....
while we ladies sat comfortably at the back and dozed off most of the time...
Waiting for our turn....
And waiting for our food which came in less than 15 minutes...
Flat noodles beneath the pool of eggs and other ingredients...
Their "springy" Fish Cake...
Croaky porridge with century eggs...
Fried Fermented Pork Belly....
And the price came to....
*ooopsss.. I forget*
But I remember I am not the payer... that is why conveniently not in my mind..
LOL..

Double Celebration At East Ocean Restaurant, Menglembu

 A 2-In-One DINNER....

It is a family dinner with two purposes, one is to commemorate her convocation and at the same time, her event falls one day after her birthday.  More or less it is a double celebration for her and a time to have a family gathering which is long overdue.  Dinner started at 7pm since there were only ten of us and I remember we were the last ones to reach the place in East Ocean, Menglembu.

Both the young guys only had a chance to drool over this set when I put it up in April this year... so now they are back, I have them taste the "real thing" instead of just imagination.  LOL... The set dinner is not so special as before when it was newly introduced in this restaurant.  Price is pretty much the same and one look at the set as it came in, the guys thought the food would not be enough for the ten hungry tummies!
Here comes our Food!
And a few of us have to stand aside.... and watch...
Needs two to be carried....
Easy does it....
And that was our meal for the evening....
Fish meehoon....
Taken before the meal...
After the meal... comes the Desserts...
And the blowing of candles....
Happy Birthday Girl...
My love ones in my life...
Thank you to our Good Lord for His wonderful Blessings!!

Curly Hair In Fashion

There is a saying that the most important feature on a human is the hair when it comes to looking beautiful.  Needless to say most of us are born with beautiful and natural hair and we do want to look even better especially for ladies.  The best option to have a better look and beauty is to don some pretty full lace wigs and changing our current hairstyles to be more sophisticated.

One of the choices are these Brazilian curly hair at the website called Dsoarhair.  These Brazilian hair, they are popular with more and more modern ladies. Every modern lady who wants to become more charming and graceful by changing the hairstyle can have a try on these curls, without doubt, they will help you gain much admiration from everyone around you.  You can be assured that you can get the highest graded standard, their hair is double sided to provide thickness to the grassroots and not only that, the clip in extensions are one of the many high ranking extensions that will not give any pain or discomfort to the scalp.

When it comes to choosing wigs, you should take your complexion and the style of your clothes. For example, if your skin is white and your clothes are of classic style, you might as well take the black straight full lace wig as your best choices because it can perfectly let you look extremely elegant and will without doubt help you showcase your unique charm in an appealing manner. Our Best Chicken Rice Shop Pak Kong, Ipoh

CHICKEN RICE SHOP!

Shopping for food, biscuits, snacks from Ipoh such as the Salted chicken, Tambun biscuits, chicken biscuits, Heong Piang, and not forgetting the famous Kacang Puteh from Buntong, all these driving here and there made one very hungry...

From the shop which sells Salted Chicken, someone saw the Chicken Rice shop which was diagonally opposite.  Pak Kong is the name of the famous chicken rice now... there was a queue, thank goodness, the queue was for those who want to take-away.  For customers like us, we just have to find the limited seats inside the one lot shop house.

As usual, the still-pretty boss lady is around to take orders and we just have to wait around ten minutes or so before the yummy and succulent chicken and other dishes were laid on our table.
I think they gave us the whole chicken???
Their famous Acar...

A combination of roasted pork and BBQ meat..
They dearly missed this dish...
Now looking back at this picture... this indeed is not a light lunch, I would say..
Only thing small size is the chicken rice which has a very fragrant smell of chicken...
From their expressions, one might think they missed these tremendously!!
LOL...

Tips For Safe Travel During The Holidays

As the calendar turns to November and the weather begins to turn for the worse, things can get precarious. This coincides with a busy holiday travel season. Millions of Americans will head to airports and take to the highways to visit friends and family over the next several months. This, of course, means being exposed to greater risk, at times in inclement weather.

According to the American Automobile Association, more than 46 million people travel during the holidays, with many of those people driving. The combination of additional traffic and the possibility of poor weather means drivers must be vigilant to avoid accidents.

If you venture outside your local region and experience bad weather, you may not be accustomed to getting around. Say you are from California and travel to Washington State, where slick and icy roads are commonplace during the winter months. You might not be prepared for a Washington State car accident. Preparing yourself is a good idea.

Here are some winter weather driving tips:

  • Take time to defrost: This can drastically improve visibility and make it easier for you to see an oncoming motorist or other obstacle.
  • Easy on the gas: Driving at a generally slower speed in snow and ice can obviously reduce the odds that you lose control of your vehicle.
  • Use headlights always: Even in the daytime, headlights can make it easier for you to see through the fog and other weather conditions.
  • Don’t tailgate: Larger vehicles take longer to come to a full stop, and this is especially true when the roadways are covered in ice and snow.
  • Slow down at intersections: Intersections, freeway off-ramps, bridges and dark spots of the roadway are some of the most common areas for ice to build up.
  • Carry supplies in your car: Chains, ice scrapers, shovels and first aid supplies can come in handy in the event of an emergency during the winter.
Should you find yourself in an accident these holidays, make sure you are not at risk of being struck by any other vehicles on the roadway before you speak with the other driver who was involved in the collision.

If you suffer any injuries in the collision, it is likely best to call an ambulance so that you may seek treatment for your injuries and get medical documentation that your injuries were the result of the collision you were in. After you’ve gathered yourself, it’s best to speak with an experienced car accident attorney to learn about your legal rights.

Eating Spree At Yuk Fook Moon, Central, Wah Nam and Keng Nam, Ipoh

THEY MISSED IPOH FOOD LOTS!

I am talking about my two Guys!  Wasting no time, they woke up very early in the three mornings they were here in Ipoh.  Gone are the days that they slept till nearly noon, I am very surprised when the one who used to wake up the latest has now changed to the one who wake up the earliest!  He said, "Don't waste time sleeping, let's get moving!"

And of course, moving means going out for Ipoh food and ordering what they could possibly tuck in.  Our regular spots are normally Wah Nam and Central right in town.  Other spots are the Stadium food court but it is now under renovation for the coming SUKMA next year.  Actually they were a bit disappointed, there are a few more places which they wanted to go but time constraint.  So much so that I was told that he would be coming back at least each month to eat-all-he-can!  LOL....

One morning at Yuk Fook Moon Dim Sum in town...
Part of the food ordered...

On another morning, at Wah Nam where they ordered what their eyes feasted upon...
And that was not all... a plate of Telur Goyang is "missing" on the table..
The half boiled eggs on toast came much later...
OK, he needs one to remember and drool when he goes back... LOL...
A bit blur here.. and did not cover all the food on the table for the 4 of us..
Another morning we went to Keng Nam in town too...
As I was not feeling well, I just ordered plain CCF...
Good enough for me...
My girl's portion...
Whereas both the guys ordered the famous Curry noodles...
And I could not resist the Glutinous rice with sweet Kaya...
As usual... one foodie picture for remembrance...
And after that, we went for a Biscuit/Snacks Shopping Spree...
