Saturday Dinner At Azuma Sushi Sutera, Johor

NINTH DAY OF CHINESE NEW YEAR....

After the heavy lunch at Johor Jaya, we had a late dinner around 8.30pm.  Our tummies were still very full, the long walk at AEON Tebrau did not help to lessen the calories, only help to lighten my wallet instead!  LOL....

Back in our little nest to rest, we did not plan to go anywhere specific until the very last moment at 8pm, we thought of going to Nijyumaru for Japanese food.  Called up for reservation only to be told that we had to wait until 9pm for our table.  Seems this restaurant is very popular in Johor Sutera... instead of waiting, we opted for Azuma Sushi along the same road.  No reservation needed, we just walked in and sat down, then I found out that Ipoh has the same branch too called Sushi Zento.  So the food is nothing new to us....
Our orders for three of us....

Not sure what I ordered....but they look good....
Saba fish....
Squarish slices.... easier to cook?
Perhaps next time I can try this at home....

Kitchen Stories And AEON Tebrau, Johor Jaya

SATURDAY BRUNCH...

Woke up fresh and good after a good restful sleep on the first night in our little nest, it was almost time for lunch or should I say brunch, our two-in-one meal.  By the time we reached Kitchen Stories at Taman Johor Jaya, it was almost noon.   Each time I come to Johor, this place is not missed out in the itinerary when it comes to lunch.

As usual, Kitchen Stories is full when it comes to lunch time but no queues, not to worry.  Once we sat down, the order were swiftly taken and served within minutes.  They have 40 over dishes to choose from and I do not know why, we seem to be ordering back the same dishes each time we go there... LOL....
These are the dishes we ordered for the eight of us....
Famous for their claypot Fish porridge..
I like their claypot drunken chicken...
More like homecooked dishes...
And finally.... the bill came to around RM150...
Quite reasonable, I would say....
With full tummies, it is time to walk off the calories!
Andy took us to AEON in Tebrau...

Chinese New Year Festive Season is still going on....
Live cheerful songs in the air...
CNY goodies and hampers for sale.....
Red and Pink everywhere.....
And of course, we must add some colours too..... as we walked here and there....

Our First Chinese New Year Dinner In Perling, Johor

JALAN-JALAN CARI MAKAN!   (LOOK OUT FOR FOOD)

That is why we normally do when we reach Johor, or should I say... me?  This time I brought my buddy along on this trip.  She is my childhood friend since.... how many years back?   Cannot remember, more than 40 years anytime!   LOL... That shows how "young" we are now...

Anyway, I am so glad she finally followed me on this southbound trip, my kids are very comfortable with her, she is more or less their so-called "Kai Ma" aka Second Mother... I remember during the time when I was still working and had to go on "kursus" (seminars/training/games) away from home, I would send SOS to my friend to come over and stay with my kids.  At least I have a peace of mind with her around in the house during my absence.

Back to my first evening in Johor... my in-laws are very nice folks.  Whenever we come down to Johor, they would invite us out for dinner and this time they took us to a new restaurant in Perling.  So excited or so hungry about eating that I practically forget to take down the name of the place... Oh well... perhaps the next time round... LOL...

This is a set meal which cost around RM238 excluding the appetizer and the dessert....
Since it was still CNY, we ordered Loe Sang as appetizers to start off...
I just cannot get fed-up eating this again and again!
Fook Chow soup... sour and a bit spicy... with bamboo shoots..
Many do not like the smell of that but I really don't mind....
Mixed vegetable with a few Macadamia nuts...
Buttered Prawns....
Saucy Steam Fish....
Meat Trotters in claypot....
For the 7 of us....
Oh yeah, this dish was ordered separately....
And that was more than enough for 7 mouths!  LOL...
For Ipohians,  one look they will know this is the trademark design from Nancy Chong...
My niece requested for it and we brought it all the way from Ipoh....
My kids also love this butter cake very much!
For one kilo, it is now selling at RM65 ($16usd)

Blonde bundles with frontal is gaining popularity in the hair extensions and weaves market. Everywhere you go, you will get to see someone with a blonde head. It could be the natural hair coloured blonde or the person could be wearing a blonde weave. It is safer and advisable to wear a blonde weave than to bleach your natural hair blonde. Showers Of Blessings For My Red Babe

SOUTHBOUND DRIVE...

His annual leave has come to an end... time to go back and "work hard for the money", so he said.  :)
We packed our stuff into my 12 years old Red Babe and said a prayer before we left Ipoh.  Prayed that the journey would be smooth and the car would endure the 6 hours drive back to the very tip of Southern Malaysia.

Started off filling our tummies with noodles at around 9.30am, drove to Nancy Chong's bakery to collect a One Kg Cake and by the time we left Ipoh, it was almost 11am.... With lots of goodies in the car, we were not stopping for any lunch along the way, only except to the rest house for a couple of times...
Weather was good...
Red Babe car was behaving very well too....
Until....
We reached Johor toll around 4pm....
It started to rain quite heavily...
Andy winded down the mirror to pay for the Toll....
And then....
The window got stuck...
It just wouldn't want to go UP....
Kaput!

Despite the heavy rain, we continued on driving...
With the window stuck like after the toll...
The rain sipped in on his side....
Thank God, our destination is not too far away...
To fear or to laugh?
We opted for the latter....
Despite the rain, we reached our little nest....
And the best thing is...
The Window was fully UP by then!
Showers of Blessings into my Red Babe as she lands in Johor.... safely!

Dinner At Fei Bo Snow Beer At Medan Ipoh

SNOWBEER BUT NO BEER WAS ORDERED....

It was last Thursday night when we invited our in-laws to a dinner before we left for Johor the very next day.  My nephew suggested going to Fei Bo Snowbeer at Medan Ipoh 3, he told us the food served there was not bad... I have never been there so I readily agreed.  Yes, famous for snowbeer but we did not try that, I for one, do not like the taste of beer.  The youngsters might like beer but somehow, we settled for chinese tea instead... LOL..

I let my nephew do the ordering of the food since Andy and I had not been there before.  He ordered a few varieties of noodles and they were really tasty!  All the dishes came served were in small portions and the next time if I go, I know what to order in "L" size!  LOL...
We were seated on the street, more airy and cooling....
And these below are the dishes ordered by my nephew....
Buttered Mantis...
Can order a Large size the next time.. .LOL...
4 types of vege with sambal belacan...
Crispy Fried Fish... not sure what these are called in English..
In Cantonese it is called Sar Chui...
Steamed Clams...
Fried rice which was fragrant and tasty....
Meehoon was also not bad....
Double portion of Wantan Hor....
And their signature Sang Mee...
With lots of Lard!
Eventually ordered a double portion for this too...
And the total bill came to around RM107...
Not too bad for six of us...
Will surely go back for other dishes the next time!

How To Find The Perfect Tutor For Your Child

Working with a tutor can be beneficial for children who are struggling at school. It can also be helpful for self-motivated kids who want to take their learning to the next level. Working directly with a knowledgeable tutor is a great way to help kids get a better handle on their schoolwork. Here are some tips on how to find the perfect tutor for your child:

Find Out About The Tutor's Background

Ideally, you should look for a tutor who not only has the right educational background but who also has experience working with children. Before hiring a tutor, find out how well they understand the subject that they will be teaching. Have they taught that subject before? Are they familiar with the current teaching standards in regards to that particular subject? Do they have any previous experience working with the textbook that your child uses for their class? If your child has learning disabilities or other developmental disabilities, you should look for a tutor who is trained to work with children with special needs.

Find Out When The Tutor Is Available

Ideally, the tutor should be able to work around your child's schedule according to 11plustutorsinessex. The amount of tutoring your child receives should be customized, depending on the goals and objectives that you hope to achieve. For instance, studying for one test usually will take fewer sessions than trying to gain a broader understanding of a subject. Children with special needs may find more frequent tutoring sessions beneficial. With patience, you should be able to find a tutor who has room in their schedule for your child and who is willing to accommodate their needs.

Learn More About How The Tutor Teaches

Every student responds differently to different teaching styles. No single style of teaching is better than another. However, you may find that your child responds better to one style than to another. Find out what methods the tutor uses for teaching. Ask them whether they will bring along additional teaching materials of their own. Additionally, find out if they have any experience with the textbook that your child is using. Sign up for a single lesson before committing to a longer-term contract so that you can see how your child and the tutor interact.

Talk To The Tutor About The Needs Of Your Child

To get the most out of tutoring, communication is essential. Let the tutor know exactly what you hope to accomplish through tutoring. Inform them of any areas where your child is really struggling. If your child's teacher has sent home reports, you should also share those with the tutor so that they can get a better feel for how best to help your child learn.

Find out How You Can Keep Track Of The Progress Your Child Is Making

Typically, the best way to find out how your child is doing is by talking directly to the tutor. Ask them how best to get updates. Some tutors prefer to talk to parents directly after the lesson while others prefer to inform them about the child's progress through email or by phone. You may even want to schedule an appointment with the tutor for an in-depth discussion about your child's response to tutoring. Some tutors even provide reports, outlining the materials that were covered at each lesson and the progress that was made. Keep in mind, however, that you may need to pay additional money for these reports.  Once they become teens, they can learn more about the content of O-level chemistry and do log into the website for more details and information.
